Walking alone the frosted ground, tigerpaw was growing quite bored of this hunting. her nose could be down to the ground all day, and she may be able to pull home one or two pieces of prey. three if she's extremely lucky. her spirits weren't down about it, she knew that it was cold and a lot of others weren't bringing anything home.

though she seemed to stop in her tracks, her jaws slightly ajar inhaling a familiar scent. flamewhisker- who'd been extremely busy lately, hushed tone barely heard from on the other side of some trees. she honestly missed her, and of course, she wanted to show flamewhisker how well she had been learning. shed grin back to Batwing before crouching down. hopefully, he got the memo she was going to sneak up on the orange warrior.

paw steps quiet, tortie body flush against the wilting grass. shed pull herself closer. and finally she'd propel herself forward, attempting to tackle the other and wrap her arms around the other. a surprise tackle hug? was that a thing?

if unsuccessful she'd hit the ground rather roughly, shaking it off and grinning towards the other with bright green eyes.

please wait for @Flamewhisker

no need to wait for but mentioning @batwing

"Alright Acornpaw, you know the drill. Let's try to catch as much as we can before sunhigh." Her voice was hushed, not wanting to stir any nearby prey away. They were due for a patrol later that day, but now that winter was here she liked to spend as much of their free time hunting as they could. Today however was a rather cold day, so she didn't suspect they would have much luck. Any prey that dared come out of it's den today would be for just mere minutes.

She flicked her tail in dismissal for her apprentice to head off in another direction, and she found herself alone. Front paws stretched in front of her, and she let out a long yawn. She couldn't wait for the green leaf warmth...each cold season that passed seemed like it was harder than the last. When she was finished stretching, she stood back up and shook out her pelt.

HMPH

Suddenly, a figure crashed into her side, paws wrapping around her. Instinctively, she whipped her head around and went to draw her claws towards her attacker, but she stopped herself when she processed Tigerpaw's familiar pelt. "You mouse brain!" she cursed lightly, sheathing her claws but still cuffing her across the ear playfully. "You got me, if you were a fox I'd make a nice meal."

The soft commotion startles Seedspring out of his focused crouch. The mouse whisks away beneath an exposed root. Tufted ears pull back towards his skull as he swiftly stands up, the only presence of annoyance relegated to the twitching tip of his tail. He cocks his head, letting the remains of his disappointment slide from his face into the snow. No one seemed to be hurt. The empty branches would be lush with yowls and blood-scent if there was. Just as well; he'd loathe to burn out his lungs in the frosty air sprinting back to camp. StarClan knows another wildlife attack would do no one good.

He makes his way towards the sound, ducking under a thin set of branches to find Tigerpaw triumphant atop Flamewhisker. Seedspring frowns ever so slightly. "Shouldn't we be hunting?" he wants to suggest, but that might be too rude when a lead warrior seemed just as happy as an apprentice to roll about on the ground. "I hope you're not a fox," he meows, tone incongruously level. Was that what an apprentice wanted to hear after a successful pounce? "You hunted Flamewhisker well."
