So I walk alone down the darkest roads

Ravenwatcher had gone off on her own, deciding to take a quiet walk downside of Shadowclan's territory when she came to a pause at the thunderpath that neighbored Thunderclan's territory and she let a soft hm out. She knew the two clans weren't that fond of each other, sometimes even on patrols do they strike words at each other but, it wasn't like they were Windclan she supposed.

The thunderpath was silent, nothing could be heard no peep nor sound from approaching monsters, and her blue eyes trained into the horizons towards the forest filled with greenery, not a marsh to be seen across onto there area. Her tail flicked a bit before she caught a glimpse of movement noticing another had come to the edge ot their own territory and she snorted. Well, speak of the devil... but they were...alone?

"Didn't know Thunderclan did solo patrols" she called towards the other, wondering if they had come to the edge of their own border to get away from the bustling life of their clan as she had or... wondered more ahead than the rest. Luckily for them, she held no intent on crossing the borders to cross onto their side, despite what had happened between the two clans in the midst of Leaf-bare, Ravenwatcher saw no need to break rules, and is it really breaking the code if she decided to...start a 'friendly' conversation with the opposite clan? "Oh...you're a new face, never seen you around this side of the border before, new?" she casually placed in. Might as well have a small chatter before the rest of them showed up, or...she finally decides to turn back and head to camp once more.

@Tybalt [Stagstrike]

(retro to fox attack)

Tybalt padded through the forest towards the Thunderpath, having decided to check the borders on his own that morning. He'd been lingering about the edges of the territory more often now that he'd been sleeping away from the camp. The quiet made it easier for him to think, and patrolling on his own kept his restless paws busy when there was no prey to be found.

Pushing his way through the undergrowth, his paws found the edges of the hard black surface, and he let out a small sigh. It reminded him of the city. Of home. Or at least, where home had been once. He took a step back and scanned the tree line, amber optics narrowing at the sight of a ShadowClanner some distance away.

A small growl rose in his throat, his claws unsheathing for a moment and then vanishing as quickly as they had appeared. And then the she-cat spoke, and he raised his chin. "They dont," he responded coolly. "But I do." His neck fur, which had begun to prickle upon first seeing her, began to lie flat as she continued chattering.

"Not new," he told her. "Just...don't come this way often." Up until recently it had been true. He avoided the Thunderpath for the same reasons he'd stopped lingering near Twolegplace. It reminded him of the family he had lost, and the resulting emotion was best kept buried. He would not be seen vulnerable. Not now, anyway. "But I can't say I've ever seen you before either."

So I walk alone down the darkest roads

Well, well...she had not expected the other to respond in a calming matter without throwing any form of insults at the other and she let a soft huh out before settling herself down to listen to what the other said before tilting her head slightly, ears curved forward to hear the stranger much better. "You're in an interesting one" she softly mused at his response before shaking her head slightly at his comment about never seeing her around.

"I like to hide in the shadows and watch, so I would not be surprised. Name is Ravenwatcher and you?" She hadn't expected much from this conversation but...something about keeping enemies closer...? Ah, whatever, right now the two were just having a little chat, and the two were staying on their respective side, so to say the least they weren't harming anyone. Her blue eyes scanned over the tom carefully trying to memorize how they looked like in case she ever ran into him again.

"How's the hunting been going for Thunderclan this new-leaf?" she would prompt in, trying to silently dig some information out of the tom while they were here, might as well, there was nothing against trying to soak in information, and perhaps she could learn something useful that would be viable for the future, or...potentially a friend? Something the young warrior was not good at making.

A smirk pulled at the corners of Tybalt's mouth. He'd been called a lot of things. Defiant, arrogant, rash. But interesting? "Interesting, huh?" he mused. "That's a new one."

And then she gave her name, and asked for his, and Tybalt mulled over a response for a moment. This was an enemy warrior, not a clanmate. They weren't friends. Not that he had many of those. But he supposed it was best he keep an eye on her. If he turned his back, who knows what she might try? So after a few moments, he spoke.

"My name is Tybalt," he answered, lifting his chin as he spoke. "Clan cats call me Stagstrike." The wavy-furred tom shrugged his shoulders. It wasn't a bad name. On someone else, he'd probably find it admirable. But to him it was a simple formality. One that caused him to keep most cats at a distance. The ones who had respected his name were long gone now.

“Hunting is better now that the snow is gone,” he told her. “How is it over there?”

So I walk alone down the darkest roads

Ravenwatcher's ears flicked as she heard Stagstrike's response as she hummed slightly, blue eyes lingering on the Thunderclanner as he spoke, even introdcuing himself as 'Tybalt' before placing in that clan cats called him 'Stagstrike' which caught her attention to, an outsider, and she supposed...Thunderclan and Skyclan have always been more...friendly to rogues, and loners as well as...kittypets, so him expressing what he called himself aside from his clan wasn't something that should surprise her

"Nice to meet you, Stagstrike" she responded while pulling on a facade of a smile, wanting to appear more friendly so the other did not see her as a threat...but a friend, and unfortunately for the warrior, her smile was strained, not something she was used to doing due to her always carrying a look of coldness than that of warmth.

"Plentiful, that is for sure, thank starclan for such a nice new-leaf. Frogs just...hop into our mouths you know" she responded, which was true to a point. Prey wasn't as scarce as it was during the leaf-bare seasons and prey has become more bountiful now that the warmth that the sun has provided lingered more, as well as the blossoming of trees of such. "Good to hear Thunderclan is doing better, especially with the newfound land you've gain. Have you hunted there yet?" she prompted, ears perked towards the cinnamon tom as she continued the half-attempt of a conversation
something she was not used to.
