Squirrelpaw had been waiting for this day for sooo long. She'd spent the last six moons dreaming of what it would be like to finally become an apprentice, to get to roam the forest freely and train with her mentor. She'd also spent a good deal of time wondering exactly who that mentor woud be. Perhaps her mother or her big brother, or one of the clans great warriors. She wanted to become a formidable force herself one day, and she was hoping that she'd be assigned to someone who could get her there.
It had come as a bit of a surprise to the torbie when Howlingstar had paired her up with Lightflower. She wouldn't say that she was particularly disappointed, but the pale tabby was a bit...
softer than she was expecting. She was kind and seemed competent, but she was by no means the picture of strength and confidence. Nonetheless, she was glad to be taught by someone who would be understanding and patient with her. This would probably still be great!
The young bicolored molly skipped happily along after her new mentor as they made their way to the training hollow, chirping like an excited little bird all the way.
"What are we going to work on first?" She questioned for about the hundredth time that morning.
"Will you show me how to hunt birds? Or mice? Oh, oh, what about rabbits? They're my favorite! So tasty," she rambled enthusiastically, forest green eyes practically shining in the greenleaf sun as she bounced up to Lightflower's side.
