IF THE POINT'S TO NEVER DISAPOINT YOU, SOMEBODY'S GOT TO TELL ME WHAT TO DO
Quill had been a little surprised when Orangestar had asked him to let one of the newer warriors shadow him. He’d thought his abilities as a mentor would have been deemed ‘less than favourable’ after Plaguepaw ran off, but it looked like the older shecat still had some kind of faith in him- either that, or she really didn’t give a damn about Copia’s training. And that seemed hard to believe.
Which was how the pair found themselves standing together outside of her den, the shecats words still fresh in their ears. ”So,” the chimera began, tone flat and gaze just as hard to read as it fixed itself on the smokey tom. ”I guess I’m supposed to teach you how to be a Skyclanner.”
He wouldn’t have as long with Copia as he would a normal kid, but he hoped that meant that part of his job was already done for him. ”how are your survival skills- can you hunt? Climb? Fight?” The best way to start was to just cut right to the chase so that Quill knew where he had to start. With any luck the other cat would have at least a few skills to work from, otherwise they were both going to have a pretty lame time trying to cram it all in.
