Rabbitnose's hunting prowess was only slightly dulled in the winter, but it wasn't enough to spare any prey lingering about when he was around. With his soft, blue dappled pelt, he was able to blend into the snow and frigid foliage and catch prey by surprise. His paws were numb from the cold, but he wasn't ready to head home just yet. He wanted to at least catch something to bring home, but it seemed the forest was unwilling to grant his wishes this day. Still, he crept along the forest floor just in case he found something on his way back.
And he did! It wasn't prey though, no. It was a large icicle hanging from a rock, one of the larger ones he's seen.
Veering off course to admire it, he watches as the light dances on its surface. Ice was such a dangerous thing, yet it was so beautiful when it wasn't a threat. The ice on the trees, frost on the grass, even when the river gets frozen. It's such a beautiful part of nature that he respects and admires. Not everyone can agree of course. Rabbitnose knows that ice and snow are signs of empty bellies and cold nights to come, yet even still.
He still finds a way to admire nature's beauty.
And as Rabbitnose does... He leans forward and gives the icicle a curious lick, only to find that his tongue has frozen to it.
"Ah..."
He tugs. He is still stuck.
This was not what he planned for. He keeps trying to tug his tongue free, but it sure is stuck there. How will he free himself without ripping his tongue off... Hm.
