Allow me to start with a preface: nobody knows how, and nobody knows why. But the cats of the land all share a chatroom.
In-between their silly little kitty activities, they engage in inter-clan communications. One would think they would use this platform for diplomatic affairs, but giving every cat access to the chatroom has made that impossible.
Think of a pre-2015, Skype/MSN-style service.
Oh yeah, rogues and loners also have access. Someone leaked the password a while back.
At least the chatroom's founder set up a system to tell the different cats apart before she was hit by a monster.

The rules are simple:
- No cyber-bullying beyond reason.
- No trying to sabotage clan affairs.
- Nicknames are allowed, but one must post with the subaccount of the chatter.
- Of course none of this is canon.
- Site rules apply.
A gathering has just ended, and with nothing to do for the rest of the night, one-by-one the funny cats and kitties of the clans log on to chat instead of getting a good night's sleep.
