Cloudypaw had lost weight since coming to Thunderclan.
It wasn't something she had noticed as it was happening. She was too preoccupied by the terror she had felt amidst the tragedies of leaf-bare, and by her own training. Her own body had been the furthest thing from her mind. In the strange, dull calm that had settled into her in the wake of the danger of the dogs, she couldn't help but notice it.
Cloudypaw still looked bigger than most of her fellow apprentices, but it was due more to fluff than anything else now. No longer was she the plump, pampered kittypet that she had been when she had first joined the clan.
She didn't know how to feel about that.
The realization had drawn her to her sister, oddly enough. It made her feel so much further from her old home in twolegplace, and her siblings were the last part of that life she still had. Besides, they didn't talk enough, in her opinion. They spent a fair bit of time together, of course, but only as much as their duties allowed. Back in twolegplace, they had practically spent every hour of every day together, talking about and doing anything and everything with each other. She missed that.
Peeking into the apprentice den, Cloudypaw found her sister inisde. "Hey Stormy." She called in.
