Sand was quite annoyed at the moment. She had just lunged herself at a mouse and missed it by a second!. That stupid mouse had got away resulting in getting thier life spared. Lucky them but the same couldn't be said to the young molly because she hadn't been alone. A patrol had been with her even more so some of her tom friends and they had seen it all!. Sand muttered underneath her breath as she got back up on her paws while her friends laughted at her. " Hahah, i can't believe you missed it!" One of the toms dared so say which made her send a look of daggers into thier direction, blue eyes burning hot. " Shut up mousebrain or i will smack you on the head." she warned them with a hiss and started to approach them. The tom just contunied to laught at them though, adding in another comment to challenge thier own fate. " Oh come on Sandy don't be embarassed because you couldn't catch a mouse!. " Oh she had have it now. Being called for Sandy was really drawing the line here!. Tch.

Sand hissed as she jumped herself right in front of them, sending a intimating look as she raised her paw up in the air ready to strike them with it. The tom yelpt and hoverd himself down to the ground and closed his eyes for a second. The time then seemed to freeze as Sand stood there with her paw lifted high and the tom slowly opend his eyes to stare back up at them. The two meet gaze and after a long moment of silence the tom bursted out laughting and Sand would lower down her paw with a short smile upon her features. " Smacking you on the head wouldn't even be worth it. Nothing gets through that small brain of yours." she said with a sigh as she turned herself away from them, shaking her head. " Hey!, what did you just say?!." The tom sounded offended but in truth he wasn't. It wasn't unusual for the two to tease and bad talk each other like this. It was part of thier friendship.

Sand ignored them as she started to walk away but it didn't took long before the brown tabby caught up to her and bumped his shoulder into hers. " Hey, don't ignore me!. " He faked pouted which made Sand roll her eyes at them. " Ahaaa, what was that?, i think an annoying fly just past by my ear!." she contunied to tease them. " Come on Sandy -" Further then that the tom didn't come as Sand shoved thier shoulder into thiers so they stumbled and fell right into some mud down there. Pleased with herself Sand smiled down at them. " What did you say again Bramble?." She raised a eyebrow at them and under the meantime the rest of the group who had tagged along laughted this time at Bramble who was slightly embarassed while coverd in mud. " You should have learned by now not to mess with Sand too much Bramble. " One of the other cats in the group said through a snicker and Sand couldn't agree more. However, Bramble was always like this and she always won in the end.

Gray's beginning to integrate himself back into every day activities now that his wounds have almost completely scarred over. He still stumbles, no thanks to his lost depth perception, but he's getting better.

He's hidden in the undergrowth, his head swiveled to watch Sand as she stalks a mouse. Thick muscles tense when she lunges a heartbeat too late, a hiss spilling past his maw. The mouse scurries away, and the patrol is left empty-handed. Gray pulls himself from his hiding spot, his yellow gaze burning through the bushes where the mouse escaped. The mouse that could've fed his sister and her kits. One ear twitches as the grating voice of Bramble pipes up. His head swings back towards the bickering pair, his good eye flicking between Sand and Bramble as they hiss and spit at each other. Finally, it concludes with Bramble in a puddle of mud with the rest of the patrol laughing. Gray laughs too, but the sound is much more bitter. "Wow! Good job, you've probably scared the rest of the prey over the river with your dumbass arguing." Bramble might be weak-willed in the face of Sand's wrath, but she does not scare him. A forepaw scoops up mud and flings it at the she-cat in hopes of splattering her with mud as well. There's no real reason behind the action other than frustration at her.

She had already been super bored with this hunt. Sand took for-ever and there was only so much time Wolf could spend crouching in one place. It wasn't comfortable, you know. Thusly, she's all too keen to pop back into a standing position alongside her uncle. She doesn't really know what Sand and Bramble are fighting about, but it's entertainment. The chanting of Fight, fight FIGHT, rings in her head, but she keeps it to herself, being polite because Gray is.

Of course, when Gray is done being polite, so is she! She fake - laughs along with them (extremely obviously. She was never a good actor, but like...) because she is so super in on this. "Yeah, dumbasses! Nice dumbass arguing!" she chirps, her smile anything but shy. She already threw mud yesterday so she can't do it again, but she's like, so rooting for him! "GET HER!!"

The recluse had crawled out of the darkness and into the sunlight for a much-needed breath of fresh air. Exposed ribs reminded her that she needed to eat which meant she needed to hunt. One should not eat until all of the kits, queens, and elders were well-fed. And - most certainly - one shouldn't freeload. Which, up until now, was what she'd been doing.

Two plump mice, too busy eating to notice the predator, hung by their tails in her mouth. She veered back toward camp. Once her catches had been added to the pile, she could retreat back into her sanctuary. But an argument caught her ears.

"Language." she scolded as she materialized from the shadows like the ragged phantom she resembled. Narrowed eyes glowered at Gray. Do not encourage nor start this. Well, too late for either of these. Wolf and Sand were young so they didn't know anything better but Gray...

Did she have any authority here? No, especially not after what she'd done. It had been an instinct, though. She'd become accustomed to reminding Gray to watch his words around the little ones. "Young ones shouldn't repeat such words." she looked at Wolf and Sand. If this had been in camp then Roe or any other innocent, little ears could have heard such crude words. No, not little Roe.

"And they won't be said in front of the even smaller ones in camp, right?" A rhetorical question. Corrupting the youth was one thing (that still made her fur stand on edge) but to breach the innocent minds of those that still clung to their mothers... Well, she hoped it didn't come to that.

With a flick of her tail, she bided them adieu as she picked up the results of her hunt. Tired. Her body groaned in pain and exhaustion. Hunting had returned naturally to her but her malnourished body had not taken kindly to the sudden increase in activity. Her mental state, too, still found it draining to be anywhere but holed up in her den.

Hopefully Gray would resolve the situation. She paused. He wouldn't. Of course he wouldn't. The thought caused her to groan but she continued back toward camp. She was too tired, too weak, and too unsettled to care enough about the antics of the children. Someone needs to wrangle them in, though. Someone that wasn't her.

ooc:// single post LOL she's literally here to scold gray for his language and then leaves b/c she can't be bothered
