It is the day after the battle. Sneezeduck is exhausted from a restless night, kept awake by the labored snoring of his injured Clanmates and his own troubled thoughts. As the sun peers into the den, he counts the heads around him - all the cats that had suffered, mourned, and failed in one way or another. Just like him.
Except for.. one. As fate would have it, Swansong's pale coat rises and falls closeby, close enough for Sneezeduck to roll over and hiss out her name. "I saw what you did," the boy mumbles, carefully, with keen eyes flicking between their denmates that have yet to wake from slumber. If she turns to face him, he narrows his eyes on hers once again, wondering if they hold the same anger his did that night.
"Do you feel.. vindicated?" Sneezeduck questions in a low voice, mimicking the serene awe that drips from hers whenever she speaks of the topic. Justice. StarClan's will. Death. Desperate for an answer, he presses forward, leaning in closer with a curious expression. "Is your work finished..?"
