⁺₊⋆ ☀︎ ⋆⁺₊ Dwindlingpaw was relieved to be free of leaves and webs entangled in her fur as she left the medicine den. Her shoulders and back still ached, new skin grumbled at being so active, but the shecat was far too eager to return to her old nest. She brought her flexible branches and soft moss to rebuild her nest with softer materials than before.
She limped around camp, her long fur a mess from her frequent slumber, and it was as though she saw everything with new eyes. Even though Dwindlingpaw was aware of how messy she appeared, she managed to keep her chin up high enough to see the chrysalis clinging to the leaves that comprised the apprentice den. It was a delicate pale green color that mingled almost entirely with the cool green entryway.
With a curious hum, she lowered her supplies and considered whether she had seen it before she left. Dwindlingpaw was drawn to yet another palette of colorful hues. "Come check this out, bugpaw. How long has it been here, do you know?" She called out, gesturing her head to the dangling cocoon. "I wonder what kind of bug it will turn out to be."
