He didn't have the glory of having siblings to harass. Didn't have mama to harass anymore. But that wouldn't stop him from doing just that.
He would observe the other kittens, often meeting them with one to two words rather than their long string of sentences that he didn't necessarily comprehend. He was trying, but it was hard. And even harder to focus now.
His head turned behind him as he left the nursery, no queen seeming to notice as he followed one of the older kits, steps seemingly careful over the snowy ground. He had seen others hiding in such snow, so he knew there wouldn't be difficulty diving in the snow if he thought someone seen him.
Especially this one that he was following.
He'd hunch low to the ground, dragging his belly across the cold snow- why did it always have to be so cold anyways? Maybe, if he snuck up quietly, the older kitten would be happy, and take him under his wing and train him to be just as good as he was. Easy! Mismatch eyes trained on the other kitten, before finally leaping, clumsily hitting his paws into the ground and bowling into the other kitten instead.
