//this is a rly shitty oneshot to brush the dust off this character and to quickly establish her moving on from her short history w/ mom (some issues came up and my inspiration for it is too low to properly rp it out) and she now has the common aspiration of being the bestest warrior she can be. read at your own risk cuz this is hot garbage
At the end of the day, no matter the intentions, Ragwortkit has come to the conclusion she has been abandoned by her mother. At ThunderClan's doorstep no less, after all ma's warnings she still sat them down here. Ragwortkit had received whispered in her ears about the clans and the dangerous cats who lurked within them. Now, little Ragwortkit has been in ThunderClan for half a moon, almost nothing made sense anymore about her mother's words. Why had she said all the things she said? Why had she done all the things she's done? ThunderClan was supposed to be an awful place, yet here there was community and love where the land of loners lacked it. The queens of ThunderClan have all welcomed Ragwort and her siblings into the den, they fed (and to Ragwortkit's annoyance) kept them all groomed.
There was nothing to hate about this place, so what had all of Salamander's warnings meant? Was the evil within it hidden below the surface? Somewhere she couldn't see?
Ragwortkit one day set out on a mission to find it. Was it buried under ground? She kicked at the snow and the hardened earth, there was no evil. Was it in the trees? Tiny claws scratched and ripped at bark, it was not in the trees. What about one of the cats? Was one of them what she had been warning her about? If so which one? How could she ever figure out who?
Her mother's warnings were too vague, no pelt color, no eye color, no personality, all Ragwortkit knew is that evil lurked here somewhere... That, or her mother had been terribly, terribly wrong. And why lie? It echoes in her brain, ma couldn't have possibly lied...? Even if Ragwortkit did feel abandoned her heart still ached at the absence of her mother, ma had loved her and her siblings, her warning must've meant something. Ma's don't lie to their kits...
But maybe mine did. The confusion hurt, maybe she'd need to ask Roepaw what mother all meant. If Roepaw was her older sister... she had to know more than Ragwortkit did.
Despite it all, Ragwortkit's heart was young and resilient yet, with the help of ThunderClan and the new friends she makes her heart heals. Though abandonment and the mysteries that remaind left a scar on her heart, she's made the subconscious and shockingly mature decision to leave the past behind and forge her new life in ThunderClan. Her aspiration becoming what many other kits in the clan dreamed off, becoming the best warrior ThunderClan's ever seen.

While she doesn't offer the best emotional support (not due to a lack of trying) she gives the best hugs and is great at giving cats distractions with her shenanigans.
