As much as he does not regret standing up for his clanmates - or are they friends now? He'd certainly like to think so, but then again he'd thought gravelpaw was his friend too... Well, as much as he does not regret doing so, he certainly wishes he would've at least given firefang a good smack if he was to be punished regardless. He can already feel the hunger pains beginning to set in - though it's nothing he is unused to. Leafbare had been harsh, sometimes it'd take all day to find even a single scrap of prey. This is nothing.
At least ,that's what he tries to convince himself. In the meantime, the rest of his punishment is hardly worth batting an eye over. In fact, the boy is currently humming quietly to himself, fresh moss and ferns and scraps of fur piled up neatly piled up beside him as he ducks into the nursery, a rather serene look on his face. he's always loved kits, and helping the queens reminds him of his own mothers in a more cheerful way than the world outside does. He has many a fond memory of this place - from the many times he'd been babysat to sootstar teaching him and aspenpaw to hunt leaves in the wind, they're all filled with a warmth and happiness which he struggles to find these days.
Peering around the den, he tries to work out a plan of action - he doesn't want to upset anyone by destroying or discarding anything they might want to keep after all, nor does he want to be underpaw and in the way of the queens who have enough to deal with these days. It'll be best, he thinks, to start out with the obvious - getting rid of the old mossballs and other toys, as well as any remnants of prey forgotten by the little monsters. Maybe pluck any bothersome weeds, and check that the walls are secure. After that, he'll figure out what to do about the nests themselves.
