*✿❀○❀✿* A particularly strong wind blew right through her, the cold seeping past her short fur and chilling her skin. "My goodness, it sure is cold this morning." Around her lay colorful leaves that rustled as they were blown about.

As the lazy morning sun creeped above the green and orange tree line, it promised to bring its warmth. But its rays had yet to reach the cold, dewy grass that she was forced to sit on. Leaf fall had just started, and yet Bella was already over it. The two-toned apprentice rubbed her front paws together before putting them to her cheek fur to warm up her face. "What a dreadful morning."

Spicepurr turns her face away from the buffetting winds, looking towards Bella as the other chatters. It is growing colder, and with the coming season, it likely won't stop anytime soon. She shakes out her fur and moves to stand closer to the apprentice in an attempt to block any further breeze from chilling her.

"I wonder if we can drag any blankets from our homes..." surely she isn't the first with this idea, though internally she dismisses it. Most of their home's nesting materials are too large, too hefty, to drag out of an open window or doorway.

Stalwart against the cold, the tom only wished it was possible to have this sort of comfortable temperature and plentiful prey at the same time. His fur sticking outwards to trap what heat it could, Silversmoke's attention soon settled upon Bella and Spicepurr. He blinked fervently towards the latter, mouth dry as he contemplated what the word blanket could possibly mean. "This is mild compared to what it'll be," he huffed rather grimly, knowing it was something that a young cat and a newer Daylight Warrior would have to prepare for. "When the snow freezes your paws and not even the heat of your denmates can keep you warm... that's when it gets challenging."

MY WORLDS ON FIRE, HOW 'BOUT YOURS?
THAT'S THE WAY I LIKE IT AND I NEVER GET BORED."

It was only because johnny had experienced a true leafbare before that he knew he wasn’t actually cold. It was certainly chilly, and there would be several uncomfortably cool days between now and the worst of it, but they still had time before they had to worry about digging one another out of snow-blocked dens. ”Aye, leaf-bare’s the true test of a daylight warrior. Nothing’ll tempt you more than a warm house once the grounds frozen over and the preys not runnin’--but a cat who abandons their clan to sit in comfort has no right to claim of ‘warrior’ in my book.” Johnny noted, sure that most agreed. "You just gotta find yourself a nice, warm cat to steal the heat from." he added with a playful wink as he brushed against Silversmoke.

Torbie paws shifting against the cool earth, Lionpaw could also admit that today was colder than usual. Leafbare was on the horizon; they watched Johnnyflame as he explained a scarce prey season and frozen ground... whatever that meant. Lionpaw only knew the term to describe a cat growing stiff in place. Could the same happen to the flora that populated SkyClan's territory?

The patchy chocolate point recognizes that he's the youngest one here. Have they all—including the daylight warriors—seen snow before? "Snow's the... cold, white stuff?" That's how it had always been described to him, anyway. They haven't a clue what it really looks, feels, or smells like otherwise. Could you blame him? He was born in early newleaf and had lived a life consisting of warmth and sunshine. His first leaf-fall was upon him now and the stark difference in the shifting temperatures and chilly winds hadn't gone unnoticed. Lionpaw's coat was thick, thankfully, but he had no idea what he was truly in for.

"Yep! Your paws are gonna feel like they're freezing off." Hawkspine chirps from beside Spicepurr, eager to join the conversation Bella Bell had initiated. He doesn't remember last leafbare too well: he remembers the snow, and remembers getting stung by freezing rain shortly before he'd been apprenticed (and subsequently forced back into Dawnglare's den for a moon due to injury).

However, much like the daylight apprentice with them, Lionpaw is younger. Both of them probably wouldn't remember snow, if his guess is right: Lionpaw too young, and Bella Bell likely kept inside by her twolegs for that duration. Hawkspine makes a thoughtful noise, and squints at the shoulders of Blazestar's son. "But your coat's nice and thick Lionpaw, you'll be fine."
