*+:。.。 Wrathpaw! Wrathpaw! Wrathpaw!

Everyone's chants filled his ears long after the meeting had concluded. To anyone outside of his head, you could practically hear the echoes of his remembrance anyway with the way the boy danced with every step, smile big enough to touch one end of Thunderclan's territory to the other. He was Wrathpaw! Apprentice of Thunderclan! Wrathpaw!! Wrathpaw? Yes! WrathPAW! Giggling, he mumbles to himself, mouth muffled by the moss he carries, "Nice to meet you, I'm Wrathpaw! Yep, that's me, Wrathpaw. Oh, you're asking about me? Why yes, I'm Wrathpaw, formerly Wrathkit but now it's Wrathpaw, congratulations to me, Wrathpaw!" He loved the sound of his new name!
Although Wrathpaw was still small, and his leg was missing, and his lungs still squeezed too easily with clingy illness, he felt a million times bigger! Soon, he'll be trained to be one of Thunderclan's finest, under Wildheart - who seemed pretty great when they'd touched noses! A guaranteed new friend! If he didn't make friends with everyone in the apprentice's den! Wowee, it'll be so cool talking to the older 'paws!

But first...

Wrathpaw looked over the sea of mossy green nests. From one end of the den to the other, there really wasn't a lot of space to just plop down and start setting up his new bed. Chewing thoughtfully - nervously - on his ball of moss, Wrathkit - I mean paw - wondered...what exactly was he supposed to do now?

"Looking for a place to bed down?" Softpaw asked as she filtered into the apprentices' den behind Wrathpaw, offering the new apprentice a tight head nod that expressed that he would be welcome and tolerated so long as he wasn't too much of a bother to the apprentices that had been in the den for longer.

Softpaw could remember her own tentativeness with which she'd first entered the apprentices' den as a kit, freshly four moons - as that was how it had been done back then, and oh, didn't she feel old when she phrased it like that. She'd been determined to keep her head low and be a shadow, not wanting to intrude on the place that the older apprentices had built over their time in the den. All that Softpaw had wanted then was to sleep next to her sister.

ˏˋ*⁀➷ The older Fallowpaw gets, the less tolerance she has for new faces in the apprentice den. When she had first made the leap to becoming a 'paw, the change in location had felt freeing. An escape from the childish bustle of the nursery, a place where she could be taken seriously. Now, though... It feels just as grating. The new face that toddles his way in is basically still a kit, she thinks ruefully. She does not move from her own nest, tucked between her sisters' - and instead watches Wrathpaw with narrowed eyes.

Fallowpaw offers none of the quiet grace that Softpaw was. Her polite question is met with a snort from the scarred molly, its lip curling with distaste. "Better be far from my nest if you're gonna be mutterin' like that all the time," the older apprentice grumbles, shooting a dark look at the new apprentice. She likes her peace and quiet, thank you very much.

He always thought "Wrathkit" was a funny name, his denmate didn't suit his name - he wasn't the angry raging type not "wrathful" in the slightest. Maybe he'd grow into his name but Tornadopaw sure hopes he doesn't, he'd quiet happy not having anyone yell and snap at him everyday he's sure he'll deal with enough grumpy apprentices. The young apprentice comes padding up besides Wrathpaw, his steps airy like he was skipping. He'd never looked at the other kit any different for what he lacked physically, he sure was more thoughtful then him though he hadn't even thought to grab moss for his own nest. He flashes a grin at the other tom "Home sweet home am I right?" he purrs towards him.

He'd nod his head Softpaw's way in greeting and begins to pad past Wrathpaw to investigate the den, while he hadn't gotten fresh moss to make a nest for himself there were some nest he knew would be left unoccupied - Wrathpaw's older siblings had become warriors and that left some warm used nests free for the taking. He's nosing the nests seeing which ones smell the most like Wrathpaw (he figured they'd smell similar! It was a clever idea in his head). As he flitters around pushing up nests and prodding them his ears perk and he looks up towards one of the grumpy apprentices he assumes. Hopefully she wouldn't try and fill his mouth with moss when he started to snore! He stares at her for a moment to long, his eyes lingering on the scars on her body, he'd seen her in passing but never this close. She looked more torn up then some of the warriors...

He shoots a look back at Wrathpaw his tail gesturing for him to follow, he thought he'd found one of the new warriors abandoned nest and well if not he's sure he'll be kicked off of it when it's owner returned but he's prettty sure he's right. "Come make your nest next to mine! I'm gonna yoink one of these and freshen it up tomorrow" he says as he plops himself down and rolls with a purr onto his back relaxing into the moss and feathers that lined his "new" nest.

. ° ✦ With Leafhusk's promotion followed some of the kittens joining the apprentices den. Lovelight and Joywing had moved their nests out for the night and into the warriors, though they would be absent from them as they performed the silent vigil. With more space they all gradually moved closer to the center, though the warm weather had Bravepaw hesitant to get any closer.

"Hi Wrathpaw!" The chocolate furred tom greeted kindly, busy working on rearranging him and his brothers nests. His own in particular was snug in the middle of Cardinalpaws, Fallowpaws and Doepaws. Perfectly surrounded by his closest denmates.

"You might wanna get rid of that mossball, they don't really move out of the nursery with you." Not that Bravepaw would mind, but he knew not all of his denmates were kind. Fallowpaw herself didn't appear very fond of the new Wrathpaw, either. "Hiya, Tornadopaw! How do you guys feel about your new mentors?" He was bias to his own- Sunfreckle and Freckleflame were perfect.

A Longhaired chocolate tabby with a white locket and deep blue eyes. Very thick coat that has started to grow into long, wispy curls. Developing into an awkward stage of kitten uglies as the rest of his body grows and changes. Severe scars from owl talons stretch across his shoulders and another that starts from his back down his left thigh.

Antlerpaw was pressed in her nest near Fallowpaw- ears twitched and eyes half lidded as she rested. Her body was slowly growing stronger, each day beneath Howlingstar, and she was all the more happy for it. A soft breath left her as new faces began to filter in, fresh from the nursery. While she agreed rather silently with her sister, she couldn't help but shoot a glance towards her sister at the rough statement.

Ears twitched and rounded towards Tornadopaw and Wrathpaw as they poked their head in, observing quietly. Tornadopaw's eyes lingered on her sister, and she couldn't help but be a bit defensive. "You're kind, Bravepaw." Antlerpaw complimented. She nudged her sister with her nose as she stood, and indication of soft goodbye, stepping closer to the newest apprentices.

"Welcome to the apprentice's den." She dipped her head in greeting.
