Visiting the nursery is always one of Cove's favorite pastimes, seeing the little kits pop around from behind their parents, but if she remembers correctly the only queen currently in the nursery is Flame. And... Cove really likes Flame, so its a good thing! She had gone out today, after the snow had turned to slush and mud ran amuck underneath, and managed to snag a decently sized vole. Of course this would go straight to the nursery, so when she pushes in to camp she zigzags straight to the den.

She pops her head in and feels a certain longing that has begun to pop up recently, effectively squashing it as she pushes through the entrance and to Flame, a big smile spread ascross her face. "Hello!" muffled by the creature between her jaws she drops it in front of the queen, seating herself and looking around the den. Huh! No visitors this time. "Caught this out on a solo hunt and figured you'd be hungry." she spoke kindly, head tilting just ever so slightly. At least she thought she had squashed it, before she looked downwards and a small frown quirks her lips downwards before she shakes it off. "Figured you could use some company too, i've been told i'm super duper good at that, hehe. Have you thought of any names? Oooh, are they secret?" she has so many questions she wants to ask but remains silent, letting the excitement shake right under the surface. She'll ask them later! For now she wants to give Flame a chance to answer.

BORN TO FIND THAT GREAT UNKNOWN ⋆⁺₊⋆
It was a quiet, pretty slow day. She had asked the apprentices for some more moss and bedding materials earlier that morning, but they hadn't brought enough so she had sent them back out. Her tail was flicking anxiously as she reconstructed her nest, expanding it for the soon to come new arrivals. She was so focused on her nest, that she hadn't heard Covecatcher come in.

Hello!

The queen jumped, and spun around. Her eyes were widened slightly, but after a few moments she relaxed. Her green gaze rested upon the plump vole that rested in the other molly's jaws, and as if on cue, her stomach rumbled hungrily. Flamewhisker licked her chest fur a few times and smiled sheepishly. "I suppose they are hungry!" she would purr, "Thank you." She bent down to take a wolfish bite out of the vole, licking her lips as she savored the taste. The lead warrior extended a paw, motioning for her to take a bite if she wished. The thought of eating before her clanmates still bothered her, even though it had been the circumstance for several weeks now.

"Thank you for stopping by...I really appreciate it. It's kinda lonely in here sometimes. I was actually just working on making my nest bigger...they will be here any day now I'm sure..." She glanced outside into the clearing, and spotted the apprentices she had asked to grab more moss out flinging mud at each other. She let out a quick huff of laughter, before returning her attention to Covecatcher. "We've tossed around a couple names...I know I really want to name one Lilykit after my mother. Flycatcher and I both like names after the forest. We've tossed around Butterflykit, Hawkkit, or maybe Thunderkit...or perhaps Stormkit.." There were so many possibilities, and who knew what their kits would look like. That would play a part in their names as well.

Cove's supiscions were right as Flame leans to take a big bite. She blinks, a frown pursing her lips as she thinks, she'll try to bring more food by in the future. After all, Flame was a new mother, expecting mother, she needs all the strength she could get. Should Cove offer to babysit when they come? She did like kits, and Flame must be going crazy in here-

She's talking, which brings Cove out of her self-induced haze. "Oh, it's no problem, you've made this place feel very cozy." she offers a smile, lips tipped upwards. She always liked the way the nursery seemed to radiate warmth, inviting and kind. They will be here any day now, Flame speaks but her eyes drift around Cove, causing curiosity sparked to follow the gaze. Cove's ears swivel to the side, it's nice to see the kids of the clan actually being kids. "Would you like some feathers or even shells to decorate your nest with? I have both." though perhaps shells would be a choking hazard to the newborn kits? And then it'd be all Cove's fault that one of the kits in Flame's litter died and then she'd be exiled-

She's spiraling in to bad thoughts again and she has to force herself to intake a breath of air, clear her head. "Lilykit is such a cute name, oh my Stars! How about a mini Flamekit?" she jests lightly, all the names Flame had listed off were all so cute. "Hmmm... Fernkit, Bramblekit? Thunderkit is super duper cute too! Oh! And Stormkit!" she tries to help Flame with suggestions but ultimately shes caught off guard by the last two, how cute! Thunderkit has multiple meanings and Stormkit is super cute, but would it be bad luck to name your kitten after a storm? Hm... Cove will think on that.

You've made this place feel very cozy.

The words brought a smile to her maw. She was glad it felt cozy to someone on the outside...to her, it felt like a prison. Her paws itched to feel the undergrowth of the forest...her legs begged for a run, her pelt felt stiff without the wind rustling it. She felt like a kitty pet, gazing out a window, begging to be let outside for even just a few minutes. Every day she had to remind herself, that it wasn't safe to leave...she wasn't just protecting herself anymore, she was protecting an unknown amount of lives inside her.

Covecatcher offered some shells or feathers to decorate her nest with. She wasn't too sure about shells, at least not until they were older. The only thing she could imagine was the kits trying to eat them, or accidentally poking an eye. "Feathers would be nice, if you wouldn't mind sharing some. I'm sure they would love that." Kits found just about anything entertaining...she could remember playing with feathers herself!

She suggests naming one Flamekit, and the red tabby couldn't help but chuckle awkwardly. While the idea was cute, she wouldn't dream of naming one of their kits after fire...not after being trapped in the camp during the fire that had swept through their territory. She considers saying something, but the other Molly starts listing off other names. A sense of relief rushes through her. "I would be tempted to name one Flykit if there are any that look like him...a little Flykit would be so cute."
