MAGGOT ⁀➷ SKYCLAW

ˏˋ*⁀➷ She finds Skyclaw when he is grooming himseld in camp, only a few of his lackeys for company. They're the only ones who would willingly get close to the bastard anymore, after all. Fallowbite weaves through them with ease - letting her practiced glare deter any who would dare speak to her - and settles down beside the tyrant himself. "Skyclaw," it greets roughly.

It could tear his throat out right now, it thinks. It's close enough. His lackeys would kill it, of course, but the satisfaction would be well worth it.

"Interesting names y'gave my sisters," Fallowbite rumbles, flicking a tongue across her own paw before casting him a curious side-eye. "Didn't think the old ones fit?" Her tone is not quite neutral, but the gruffness of it is far from unusual. She does not say anything of her own opinion on the new names. He'd probably kill her himself for that.

He likes Fallowbite. Its sisters less so, evidently, but there always seem to be one thorn that's sharper than the rest. He doesn't flinch as the feline edges closer to him, trusting it enough to not hurt him. (Oh, if only he knew how it wanted to rip his throat out, like he had done to others too many times before.) He mindlessly grooms the fur on his chest, listening to the chatter around him when it greets him and speaks. Names. He had already a conversation too many about this topic, but it seems that Fallowbite isn't necessarily fighting the idea of changing things around here.

"Not at all," he says plainly. "Antlerbreeze? Howlingstar was out of her mind for that one," though maybe there is an admittance of greed and envy when he says that. Skyclaw reminisces, waving a paw in a nonsensical gesture. "I thought Doecry would fit better, too. But maybe she should've stayed with path given, well... You know," the near-blind she-cat nearly losing her life to the thunderpath was no small topic, after all. He tests the waters freely, unafraid of the creature beside him.
