*+:。.。 "Alright Goldenpaw, today we're going to practice your fishing skills with a simple game"
Goldenpaw was Silvebreath's first apprentice. To say he was excited was an understatement. But at the same time, as the days wore on the young cat was forced to work her stubby legs to the bone, he couldn't help but reflect on how...small the little tyke was. Silvebreath was eager to avoid any serious training for as long as he could - so sparring and traveling long distances out in the territory was going to stay at the bottom of his list. Today he thought of the perfect training idea that would be safe for Silverbreath's liking and hopefully familiar enough to Goldenpaw's roots to be fun for her too.
Patting his pile of moss balls, the warrior would explain, "this here is going to be your school of fish, back up a few fox lengths and get ready, we're testing your reflexes" smiling warmly, he'd pull the top ball from the mountain and bounce it between his paws, "So get ready because it's coming in hot" Once she looked prepared enough, Silverbreath would drop the ball and wack it towards her as hard as he could, aiming for it to speed past or into her paws depending on quickly she was able to get it.
Just as quick, he'd throw another, then a third, then a fourth, and so on. Each one he swatted went in different directions, forcing Goldenpaw to pay attention to where the "fish" would be "swimming". "When the time comes you'll have to pay close attention to see where the fishes are coming and where they're going. Your eyes need to be as sharp as your reflexes, and your reflexes as sharp as your claws"
As he threw more of the balls, Silvebreath would cock his head to the side and ask, "What are you hoping to learn from me in the next moons, Goldenpaw?" He wondered if the sweet girl wished to be the best, if in any field or just in general.
