Moonkit taking a cozy afternoon nap, laying spread-eagle on his back, when he's rudely awoken by a tiny paw kicking him in the ribs.
He squeaks, wiggling to turn over onto his side to glare at the perpetrator, but he softens when he sees its only Sunlitkit fidgeting. His other half looks comfortable and warm, so Moonkit shuffles closer to lay his head on the other kit's side. The sounds of Sunlitkit's slow breathing and heartbeat are comforting, ebbing and flowing in tandem with his own. Even the gurgling of his stomach brings joy. He's so very alive under Moonkit's soft-furred ear. "Love you," he mumbles sleepily, snuggling closer.
Unfortunately, his squirming startles Sunlitkit awake. Moonkit raises his head to meet his sky-blue eyes, blinking rapidly. "Sorry. Wanted t'snuggle..." True to his word, he shuffles right back up to Sunlitkit's side, pushing into personal space that simply doesn't seem to exist between them, and rests his chin over his brother's spine.
