EYES COVERED IN INK AND BLEACH
maggotpaw | 06 months | female | she/her | physically medium | mentally hard | attack in bold mediumpurple
Maggotpaw is rarely seen around her clanmates unless she is tagging along after magpiepaw. But her mentor (and herself if she's honest) has wanted her to work harder - train harder. And so that is how she somehow finds herself in this situation. Teal gaze size up her opponent, body coiled and tens and she waits. Who will make the first move - her, or raggedpaw? The twitch of her tail tip is the only tell as she moves fluidly forwards - pouncing and hoping to bowl him over with her sheer size. If successful she's quick to move to pin him, eyes cold and face blank.

THE REST IS STILL UNWRITTEN

raggedpaw wasn't a good fighter. he never would be. he couldn't be. it wasn't his fault that he was too distractable. his mentor, however, insisted that if he didn't at least learn how to defend himself, he would be dead. now, raggedpaw would never admit it at all, but he was terrified of his mentor. after his mentor maimed his face— unknown to anyone but himself— and then threatened to miraculously get rid of him for saying anything, He figured it was just easier to try his best. his best was never going to be good enough and he somewhat knew that. as he found himself lost in his thoughts, yet again, he was caught off guard by maggotpaw tackling him to the ground. he hit the ground with a wince, blinking his gaze up at her. woah... she was super strong! his eyes traveled over his opponent for a moment before he just moved to attempt to squeeze from underneath her grip. had he been successful, he would shake his pelt out, moving away from the feline.

"you're super strong, maggotpaw! how did you do that? can you show him when we are done sparring? oh, that's right. we are supposed to be sparring.. sorry he's sorry! he's really sorry! he's trying to focus! promise, he is!"

he apologized sheepishly. he couldn't help it. he was just... not good at this type of thing. with a lash of his tail, he watched his mentor's face twist with disappointment, that only makes him flinch. he moved to try and hit her in the head with his paw in an attempt to daze her. had he been successful, he left himself vulnerable to be bit, as his paw stuck out with slight concern. he didn't wanna hurt maggotpaw at all. but even if he hadn't been successful, he tensed up, to try and prepare himself to dodge the next attack.

While maggotpaw isn't to surprised when her attack hits - she likes to think she knows her skills, takes pride in them even - she is a bit startled by what happens next. Raggedpaw quickly slips her grasp, unscathed save for whatever bruising obtained from her heavy paws, and immediately breaks into a spiel of spewed apologies. She is no stranger to shitty adults - parental figures, mentors, high positions - they're all the same. "...sure," Violent gaze flickers to the boys mentor, glaring back judgmentally, and in her own moment of distraction she's smacked right in the face. Except - it doesn't really have the intended effect, leaving her mildly annoyed and amused rather than stunned. But she doesn't go for his paw - instead a smirk creep up the corner of her lips, finally changing her expression, and she lunges forwards again - hoping, more than anything, to simply scare him, stopping herself short from actually attacking. This is just supposed to be a spar after all - perhaps she can be kind enough to let him get a few blows in.

- she is trying to throw (no modifier, feinting only) so that raggedpaw can impress his mentor
