You are not as sly as you imagine. Now, how long should I remain like this? An ear flicks in irritation. All she desired was a semblance of peace, but it was woefully short lived. Why? Why the reason was in the shape of a kit. Kits were troublesome and disgusting creatures. She shudders at the thought of where their paws have been. Of course, they had their benefits. Easy pickings for amusement. It was far too easy to bend them to her will as well. They just needed the proper stimulant. However, today she wanted to spend some time to herself in the biting cold. Leaf-bare was brutal and without a doubt the worst one she's ever experienced.

She is unsure why a kit is attempting to scare her? Based on their hushed pawsteps and perceived notion of her absentmindedness. One... Two... With a quick turn she faces the criminal, "Boo." A wicked grin emerges from her lips as she watches chimera fur bristle. Puddlekit made a bold attempt, she'll give them that. However, Vulturesong had many moons of experience. They were simply in different leagues. "While your pawsteps were quiet, your breathing gave yourself away. Prey would have skittered away before you even took your first step." The white molly rises from her paws, with a sigh. Stormy blue stare down the kit. I wonder how many moons remain in the nursery. Not much I suppose, you're on the bigger side for a kit. Maybe a moon or two.

// @Puddlekit..

Vulturesong painted an intimidating figure, a beacon amongst her clanmates given her stark white fur. How it managed to stay so clean despite the fact that ShadowClan is well... ShadowClan surprises her. The warrior is always so steely and cold, not that Puddlekit can really comment on it since their own expression never budges unless something truly bizarre happens. She decides that she will try to break that today, this would be good practice for when she's an apprentice too! That will be any day now, whoever her mentor is she made it a point to look really impressive to them. Crouching down she attempts to watch the ground where they walk, brows furrowing in concentration as she anticipates what footfall will be the quietest.

Vulturesong expects it because of course she does, she's one of the good warriors after all. One that's perceptive rather than chatty and never seems to complain, a true adult, unlike some cats she knows. Maybe a little too perceptive, the movement surprises the chimera kitten. Short fur bristling as she's met with the older she-cat's face. A frown etching her expression but she keeps her eyebrows furrowed in concentation all the same, treating this now as a puzzle. An attempt to deduce just how she was spotted. The mystery doesn't get to stay a mystery for long, Vulturesong giving her a lecture on how to improve.

With a flick of her tail she stares up at the white warrior, copper meets blue with an equally intense of a stare. "How do you not breathe so hard then? Sounds ridiculous" she huffs, maw contorting into a pout. She is never one to start a conversation properly, instead relying on instruction as some form of communication. "Can prey really hear that well?" They all seemed kind of dumb, though she supposes that's because she's yet to see one actually skittering around rather than laying still and deceased.

The white molly rolls her eyes, "What's ridiculous is the grating voice of a kit who is quick to whine." Stormy blue gazes at the kit, in silence. It only occurs to her afterwards, that what Puddlekit had said was not foolish. Not now anyway. Had they been an apprentice she would scoff and question the intelligence of their mentor to neglect such teachings. Naturally, she was not one to apologize. "You'll learn when you become an apprentice. With your mentor." If Puddlekit wanted an explanation or demonstration, none would come. After all, she was not paired up with the kit or anyone for that matter. Some warriors may despair in not having an apprentice, but not her. In fact, she was relieved she didn't have to deal with a nuisance.

"They can. Prey once given a slight indication of being hunted will dart away without a second thought. When you an apprentice, your mentor will ensure success. A future warrior should not snap twigs, lest they want the whole forest to scurry away." She remembers... A time under her mentor when she struggled. Even though she took great care in not making a sound, the prey still ran away from her. He had told her it was because of the color of her pelt. It would be a great hurdle as their home made her stick out like a sore thumb. After a harsh lecture with more than a book's worth of unkind words, he told her leaf-bare would be ideal for her. You were ever a cruel one you old fox-heart.

Although she didn't desire an apprentice, the thought of having one worms itself into her mind. She would prefer an apprentice who did what they were told without too much of a fuss. A spineless apprentice would be no good. If Ternstar dared to give her a kit that shook from a mere glance, she would scoff and put the kit into the most grueling of regimens. Her apprentice would not be weak. Not if she can help it. "Have you thought of what cat you'd like as a mentor?"
