ALL THE KING'S HORSES
The day was warmer than was expected for it being Leaf-fall. The sky above was a beautiful light blue and the sun shone down on them with all the warmth and blessings that Moonshadow could only assume was a natural sign that Starclan did in fact favor them. Her plume-like tail would swish behind her as she stepped further into the clearing, her pelt groomed to meticulous perfection and the stoic strength she had once carried about her had returned to her regal air.
Stopping in the center of camp, Moonshadow would look around with an analyzing expression before meowing calmly, "Would any cat be interested in a sparring match? It has been far too long since I have practiced." Moonshadow recounted the days she used to train with her knights, the comradery they had shared in the few days of peace that settled between fierce battles. Her eyes would scan the camp for her sons' familiar black and white pelt, or even the silver coats of her recent litter, perhaps she could finally pass on some of her old home traditions to them, even if it was in a small display such as this.
