pafp No time for fun || o. Snowball fight

Please wait for @Scorchedmoon !! ))

[ ༻❄༺ ] Imagine being stuck on a patrol, no less than that with bitter cold winds nipping at ones nose and that of snow and much crunching underneath one paw while listening to their own mentor blabber off about things they needed to know. Honestly, for Snowpaw? It was getting tedious, and she was kind of... bored, and well... tired of course and the back of Scorchedmoon's head looked like it was screaming for some snow to get flung at it. Of course, don't do this to mentors, unless one was looking for extra duties to do. Pausing, Snowpaw rolled up a small pack of snow into what appears to be a ball of sorts (a best a kitty could do that was for sure), and she flung it in attempts to hit her unaware mentor in the back of the head a huff came from her lips as she shook the cold wet snow from her paws that still lingered.

"You chat a lot, old man." challenge raised in the tiny voice of Snowpaw, the one who always appeared to be grouchy and reclusive but... when it came to Scorchedmoon, and after being under their paws for a bit now she had grown to like him in a way a child likes their family and so she found no problem in attempting to mess with the other and besides, this would be far more entertaining than that of listening to her mentor chatter off about tips and tricks or the warrior code.

This patrol was positively boring! Even Scorchedmoon was struggling to muster any energy to do the task at hand, so he continued to ramble on, as he does when there’s too much silence. Talking about warrior skills to Snowpaw was just about as boring, but at least it was productive. At least, he’d like to think so.

As he’s about to continue on the topic of recognizing the differing scents of the other clans, he suddenly feels a force on the back of his head. Even though he identifies it as snow from the coldness, he still takes a moment to process what happened. When Snowpaw smart mouths him, Scorchedmoon knows what needs to be done.

He feigns sadness, as he wails, “Oh come on! I’m not that old! I’m like, barely older than you! And I don’t talk that much!” He does, in fact, talk that much, but that’s besides the point. Scorchedmoon then smirks and he forms his own snowball, and waits for a brief time, staying eerily still before throwing it at her with no warning, hoping to catch her off guard.

Reactions: Snowlark.

Basilpaw just happened to be lurking close by it was not like he had spotted them a bit back and decide to stalk them instead and leave his mentor behind in the cold. Pfft! never. Basilpaw didn't have even one disobident bone in his body!. It had been rather boring to follow them he would admit that. He had thought Snowpaw was having so much fun with her mentor to be out on tons of adventures he wanted to be apart of too!. But no. Scorchedmoon was a bit...boring talking too much. Poor Snowpaw. He felt bad for his friend for having to endure all of that. Who would want to be around someone who never stopt talking?. Basilpaw could only pity them. Just when he was about to think out a way to save his friend from her tedious mentor the unexpected happened!. Snowpaw crounched down to create a snowball between her paws before she flung it right at the back of her mentors head!. Oh the brave Snowpaw had decided to take the matters into her own paws!.

Basilpaw watched the event unfold but ready to step in to bite Scorchedmoon tail if he dared to scold her. But no such thing happened. What happend instead was that Scorchedmoon evolved from tedious boring Scorchedmoon to fun cool Scorchedmoon!. Oh boy, oh boy!. He wanted to join in so badly now to take part in this snow fight!. Basilpaw tried his very best to control himself but it was all in vain and before knowing it he sprinted right out from his hideout to join the battle!.

" No one throws snowballs at Snowpaw and gets away with it!" he yowled with a battlecry of joy, and as he skided in the snow to a halt swiftly turned himself around so he could attempt to kick tons of snow at Scorchedmoon with his front paws having the whole ground loaded with snow for him to use!.

Frostbite watches the battle breaking out with a smile. See, this is why snow is fun. It's fun to throw at your friends, it's fun to plow into piles of, and its fun to run around in. Sure, its cold and wet, but thats not the point. The point is is that its fun to wage warfare with and that is what he is going to do today. It could be argued that there were more important things to be done, but all work and no play makes you boring. And gives you a face like Smogmaw.

"Basilpaw!" Frostbite shouts with a grin and immediately starts swiping at the snow with his big paws to send it flying towards the apprentice.

There were other things to do in the snow, like tunnel and make burrows, but it wasn't deep enough for that yet...Unless you were small, which he was not. But make no mistake, if the snow does get that deep, he will be the designated snow shoveler.

"Every border should be treated just as when you and your brothers appeared. Trespassing is against the code all Clans follow, and the moment you're outside our territory you've invited the excuse for any and all consequences." Lilacfur continued to explain as she gestured to the scent lines and scattered tufts of fur with her tail. Like Scorchedmoon she could probably drone on about the expectations and customs of her home, but at least one of her trainees was even more talkative than herself.

The rest of the patrol behind them burst into action. Snowpaw's assault blossomed into a domino effect of the others tossing snow at once another and she ducked under the spray of snow with a laugh.

"Hey! Some of us don't have snow-friendly pelts here." She looked to @pipit !! with a mischievous grin. Ready to show them? And to @CATERPILLARPAW. she nudged for the apprentice to take cover. "Snowpaw's only a fox-length to your left, she won't see it coming." She murmured in the calico's ear before jumping into work. She darted out from behind Frostbite and used the powdery surface to skid, sending a wave of snow over the lead warrior.

"Weird that you guys have so many dumb rules.. I mean, it seems like common courtesy... or maybe just having a braincell to know that trespassing is trespassing. Like... it's the word itself. I ain't gonna be passing any borders anytime soon- your neighbors absolutely reek and I'm not so sure the ones on the open plains aren't insane from staring at the moon with no trees overhead to protect'em." Lilacfur is right. Her nephew does not shut up.

"How'd you guys even pick the borders? Seems like you got some pretty lame picks when the place stinks of death half the year."

A fight was breaking out as he went on his relentless tirade and lucky for Pipit, that was something he could actually enjoy. Lilacfur makes a big show of complaining too, saying that snow isn't friendly for the pretty folks (she doesn't say that really but... basically... it's close enough) before giving him the most wicked of glances. Fire-light eyes glint in the shared thought for mischief and as she wanders around behind Frostbite, Pipit slinks behind his favorite Small Fry before digging his forelegs into the snow and rapidly raising them to send a cascade of snow over the apprentice.
