— backstory
Clover loved his pampered kittypet life and, because he was pretty, was basically allowed to do some horrible stuff without consequence. Like, first small things like making fun of other cats but then it became bigger and bigger things. Testing the limits. And because Slate got adopted and Clover didn't, his parents never really punished him because they wanted to keep their only remaining kit happy. So here he is, this pretty dude with a god complex and next to no morals. No one to punish him or keep him in check. and he finally goes over the line.
IDK what he does specifcally (maybe kill a new kit thats prettier then him?) and he gets thrown out. This would've happened when he was maybe 8 moons to keep a similar timeline to Slate. From then, maybe he joined a group of alley cats that was basically walmart blood clan for a while. There he meet Dog who would later become Dogmeat, and Tigerscar before he got scared. Clover was ruthless during this time and killed two cats, one of them being related to Dogbite. Soon, the group began to expand their reign of terriror and would attack the Marsh Colony, taking a few of those cat's lives. Ultimatley, the group disbands and Clover stays near the colonies. He looks around, steals a lot of prey, makes a lot of enemies, then comes to the Pine Colony, who haven't heard of him but do accept him. He then lies and tells them that he's never done anything bad, and because he's young (maybe around 11 or 12 moons at this point) they believe him or don't even think to ask.
He has worked his way up the heirarchy of the clan and has put a stop to his killing-spree for the time being.

-- He did need much of a reason to kill when he was younger since he wasn't punished for hurting others in the past and doesn't see it as a super bad thing. (He's so mentally well) but he usually killed to gain power over a situation or because he was vain. He originally joined Sky Clan because he saw that killing wasn't getting him the power that he wanted, so now he's got his eyes set on the leader position.
-- He's become more and more kind, and slowly grasping the idea that killing isn't super awesome but won't ever be outright distrubed with his past actions and he doesn't see them in a good or bad light, just that they happened.
-- He avoids going to gatherings like the PLAGUE because of his past actions. Even if he doesn't see them in a certain way, he knows others around him do.
-- He will kill to keep his secret.
-- Genuinely has become nicer and cares about his clan mates.
