It was no shock that Lily and Tansy had been fast friends. Two cats of similar age growing up together in the Marsh Group were bound to be close.
Tansy was there when Lily had her first crush on a molly. It was a fleeting crush, but a crush nonetheless. Tansy was there when Tempest joined the Marsh Group and swept Lily off her paws. Tansy was there when the clans formed and Lakemoon left for RiverClan. In addition to her family and Tempest, Tansy was her rock throughout that.
Tansy was there for all of it.
Her life with Tempest had been a whirlwind. Within a moon of knowing each other, they were desperately in love. Almost immediately, they arranged for kits to be born. It was a young love, a raging love. A love that Lily thought would always be around.
When the fire came and took Tempest from her, Lily swore she would never love again. No love could compare to that which she shared with Tempest.
Like Tansy was there for her, Lily was there when Tansy met Sunflash. She had never liked the tom, but she was never able to put her paw on it. After the way he treated Tansyshine during her pregnancy, she realized why. Her friend deserved the world, and this foxheart could never give it to her. He had caused the death of his own kits.
