Somehow, for better or for worse, this was Cottonpaw's idea. During her detention, the young apprentice had heard of a couple warriors complaining about a nuisance on the moors. A dog, some of them called it, though many refuted that it even was that. Supposedly the beast in question was measly in size and at worst, annoying. Unfortunately due to its loud barking, much of the newleaf prey has dispersed elsewhere. Even they are unwilling to listen to the noise, she supposes!
Regardless, a plan hatched in the grey smoke's head, and with much convincing she was able to drag her siblings along into it. They're all under a sort-of grounding, now, for their own safety - but surely their mentors and parents would be more proud than upset if they handled the issue, right? That's how Cottonpaw figured it would end up, anyways. She didn't really pay mind to how each of her siblings may have felt about the incoming encounter after they agreed to it.
"Mmmm... I heard that it was closer to the horseplace..." her tail twitches as she tries to gauge the direction better. Borders, she was alright at - the scents muddled in her mind's eye still but she could at least decipher a tree line from a thunderpath. Actual landmarks, however, are still difficult for her. "Would that be this way?" she poses the question to any one of her more knowledgable siblings, hopeful that at least one of them retained the knowledge.
