Perhaps it was crude of her to turn her chin away from Fallowbite, from Doeblaze, to hardly take meals. She wasn't eating- she wasn't eating so that others could. Darkthistle interrupting Flamewhisker's hunts was obvious that it was going to be the strong-fed-first, so she would do what she had to ensure that apprentices, kits- don't think about your siblings- elders, queens, injured... they needed to eat. More then her. Antlerbreeze slowly exhaled from the edge of camp, staring out from the shadows at the blazing sun.
Hardly was there joyous laugher in the wake of Howlingstar's death, a gaping wound in her that still bled with grief, with the need to recognize what happened. Skyclaw's teeth in her neck, the sickening crunch as her small body met the ground. Her breathing was slowly picking up, these... breathing attacks harder with her former mentor gone. Gone, what a bitter word- but her breath was rushing and her shoulders trembled and-
Antlerbreeze's head snapped to the right, lips pulling back in pure instinct before she recognized her sibling. It's footfalls perhaps heavier on purpose to warn Antlerbreeze of her arrival, but it didn't make the noise any less shocking to her. Coming out of an episode like that was jarring enough, forget the fact she wanted to recoil deeper into the shadows. Orange eyes, once full of warmth, shielded themselves and turned away. "Fallowbite." She said, voice... neutral, empty. Just as she had been practicing.
