private ONE DAY MORE // DWINDLINGPAW

She's spiteful, fighty - all of them are, he thinks. The litter born of the eclipse, born to be cursed with never-sun and forever-night. Fadingpaw is only a follower to her siblings, and Shroudedpaw is quiet, obedient. Glowingpaw has an affinity with Wrath-howl, which keeps her in line. And Dwindlingpaw... their ring-leader, he thinks. Whatever she says, it seems the rest follow, with some minor deviation. If he has her under his paw, then surely, surely, he has the whole pack of cursed kittens.

"Hey," he beckons her, his claws already unsheathed. The patrol they're on moves on ahead, lead by one of his trusted companions. His tail lashes, "I heard about your fight with Wrath-howl. Y'know, holding your own against a tom like that is pretty spectacular. I would've expected less from... someone like you," he chooses his words carelessly, feeling as if he doesn't need to hold caution anymore. Dirt and grass rip beneath his paws, "I've heard your kin speak of you as if you're the venom of the family, destined to kill ThunderClan from the inside out. Do you believe that, Dwindlingpaw?"

⁺₊⋆ ☀︎ ⋆⁺₊ It was beyond creepy and it made her skin crawl to be in the same patrol as that DOG. Every so often she'd look back to glare at him and to check that he didn't disappear with a potential victim. The next time she does Skyclaw stares into her soul coaxing her over as the patrol continues onwards and they were alone. 'Danger!' her mind screamed 'We're in danger! Dwindlingpaw stopped a pace away from him her blue pin small eyes lingering on his free claws.

"We didn't fight it was just a spar" The apprentice snapped. She was just the dumb beast who made it bloody, every time she thinks about it she feels worse and worse. She hated him for hurting others but she didn't even think twice about hurting her clanmate. Why did he speak like that was a good thing? Dwindlingpaw itched to run away from him, with every slight movement Skyclaw made she got ready to bolt.

Nothing could prepare her for the next words that came from his mouth and her heart dropped in her chest. "No what? You're lying! They would never say something like that!" Their apprenticeships had made them distant but the way that he said it sounded just like her parents.

Over and over again calling them wicked creatures destined to destroy. She knew her siblings disapproved bit to stoop that low. She trusted her siblings more than anything. It was her own insecurity that let his words seep into her mind. "Who? Tell me who said such a thing, there is no way you could ever be right" She scoffed, just like there was no one she could ever be wrong. Right ?
