As the dawn light broke over Twoleg place, a stocky patched tomcat lept down from the fenceline and slipped off into the pine forest behind his twolegs home. Belly full and yellow eyes bright, he confidently stepped over the scentlines of Skyclans border, his status as a daylight warrior like a backstage pass that let him come and go as he pleased. Of course, the collared tomcat never took advantage of it, only returning to his twolegs once the sun set and the clan was well taken care of.
As always, the first thing the lead warrior did when arriving in Skyclan territories in the morning was slip into hunting mode. It made the most sense to hunt on his way on since he was already out and about, and this early the dawn patrols wouldn't be out yet to catch or scare all the prey. Besides, there was the new law to account for. Even though Johnny didn't eat prey if it could be avoided, he didn't consider himself exempt from the laws of caring for their young, sick, elderly, and nursing.
So, he got to work trying to track down some prey.
