your entire existence gives me a headache, go stand over there .

/ takes place a few days after this thread !

A pity. He hummed, pressing a paw against his helm, claws digging into the tender flesh behind his ear causing beads to bubble, staining the transparent tips. To think they had been so close to capturing him, taking advantage of his blinded side to give him a well-earned slam to his helm, only to collide with the dirt with a harsh thump. He breathed, amusement dancing within a ruby hue. A pointless bounty, traveling a long distance, searching for the smokey albino, and dare he say, for what? He couldn’t hope to understand.

Fogbound hadn’t helped the swell of surprise, noticing the influx of cats when he came too, ruby hues narrowing. He had thought differently, after all, he was rather peculiar than most. It would have been a shame, taken from WindClan and without his family, the moor runner would have fought with great strength to return, if not to seek Rabbitclaw in vulnerability to watch over his family.

He laughed breathlessly, curling with unwavering charm and humor, the bulky warrior simply couldn’t hope to fathom why he had thought of the tunneler, but even in death, the thought of her would not leave his head. A shame you failed. He hummed, tail flickering. Seeing his … Fogbound refused to think about them for the sake of tranquility, of what little peace his life offered in these troubling times. Indeed. An unknown future befell the clans, and Fogbound wondered what lay in store.

Tail flickering, the bulky tom couldn’t help but wonder what they’d plan to do, lugging him back to the city that he swore to never step paw in. “Strange indeed, mhm?” He mused, his lips puckered in deadpan amusement, ruby gaze narrowing.

/ feel free to ask questions about what happened ! you guys are welcome to have overheard his conversation with the rogues before he was knocked out in the prior thread ^^ no need to have responded to the attempted kidnapping thread, either !

──ᨒ↟↟ᨒ↟ᨒ↟↟ᨒ── Wolfsong does not understand what the rogues hoped to achieve by dragging Fogbound off. Did they simply intend to kill him across the border? But rogues are from no clan; such deception would not serve them as it had Hyacinthbreath's murder of Juniperfrost. If, for some reason, they knew Fogbound, how did they also know when and where to find him? Such a question has many disturbing implications, and the WindClanner's blasé attitude after the incident does nothing to reassure Wolfsong of their intentions.

"It is not my place to decide where cats can and cannot go, but I am sure Sunstride would agree that it is best if you remain far from the borders," Wolfsong says, watching the larger cat. Strange is not the half of it, and he does not like the possibility that Fogbound knows something he has not shared, something that could very well affect the clan.

WOLFSONG of WINDCLAN FORMER ROGUE TURNED MEDICINE CAT. 38 MOONS, HE/HIM, NPC X NPC. MATES WITH SUNSTRIDE (07/05/2023). BIOGRAPHY, PINTEREST, & PLAYLIST.
  • ★★★☆☆ WOUNDS: You're (mostly) in safe paws. You'll know if he's less experienced if he asks for your permission to try a treatment. No wound can scare him away from knowledge.
★★★☆☆ INFECTION: He can prevent most infections. If you feel feverish, let him know; he'll hum thoughtfully over herbs and sniff your wound before saying, "With your blessing..."
  • ★☆☆☆☆ ACHES & PAINS: If you complain to him of pain, he'll ask where. If it's a headache, you'll likely feel a bit better. For anything else, "Try this, if you'd like, and tell me how you feel."
★☆☆☆☆ BROKEN BONES: At best. he can ask you to remain lying down in the den. He may try to distract you with conversation while he considers what herb to feed you.
  • ★★★★★ TRAVELING HERBS: Going somewhere? No worries; Wolfsong knows just what you need to stay hale and healthy during your journey. The rest is up to you.
★★☆☆☆ KITTING: Thanks to Starlingheart, he's better prepared for the arrival of kits, but any complications will need a little faith and a lot of luck.
  • ★☆☆☆☆ POISONS: It's best if you avoid eating anything unfamiliar to you— it's probably just as unfamiliar to Wolfsong. The best he can do is offer you yarrow and sit with you.
★★☆☆☆ ILLNESS: If it's white or greencough, you'll likely recover. Otherwise, prepare for odd concoctions and the usual request that you consent to a little trial-and-error.

Word of Fogbound's attempted kidnapping had been odd, for sure. WindClan had sneakily gained kittens but that was with the promise of molding fully fledged warriors in their eye. He didn't understand the advantage of dragging back an entire cat, already grizzled from the dangers of the forest.

"Don't tell me, you messed with a molly thats got brothers?" His tone was in jest but he shared Wolfsong's suspicions.

❀༉˖° Word regarding Fogbound's attempted kidnapping had already reached Peonypaw's ears. It had been hard to miss after all, with his new injury as well as Rattleheart's involvement; he had been sure to ask his mentor what happened. Just some rogues, Peonypaw decided, but will they cause more trouble?

Wolfsong already voiced his thoughts and Hollowcreek started to question him. Peonypaw couldn't deny he was curious. Rogues could be vicious without any rules or morals, but this particular instance sounded like it was born out of something specific.

"Do you think they'll try again?" He asked Fogbound directly, not spooked by the warrior's general eerie mannerisms. Peonypaw thought he would be eager to respond.

╭───── ⋅ ⋅ ────── 。・゚゚・ ───── ☀︎ ──── ・゚゚・。 ───── ⋅ ⋅ ─────╮

If Finchpaw had stuck close to Fogbound before, following along like a good apprentice should, then she was practically glued to his side by now, outside of camp or otherwise. Wherever he goes, so does she, and this time she's not inclined to take her eyes off of him, no distraction great enough to draw her attention away. Well, maybe SOME distractions are great enough, but only when they're in camp - no more bouncing off to explore, not when he might get himself into trouble again. Never has she felt so focused before, and at the same time, never has she felt so restless before, some sort of strange wanderlust prickling beneath her skin every moment they're out on the moors and she's not taking in all the sights. And, it's only been, like, a couple of days; already, she finds herself wondering how she's supposed to keep an eye on him for the rest of forever.

Today is no exception to the rule, even when they're not out training; Fogbound's chocolate shadow is never far behind, even if she was a little behind today, but hey, it's not her fault! There was a bug, and it was shiny, and they're in camp, so it's fine! Even if the rogues had invaded their camp once before, and the other Clans' camps, too. Even if it had been rogues that had attacked Fogbound. Her brow furrows at the thought, and Finchpaw closes the distance between herself and her mentor, skipping along quicker than usual.

Already, she's missed some chunk of the conversation, but that's never quite stopped her from chiming in before. "I'll make sure he stays out of trouble! They won't surprise us twice! If they show up again I'll be ready this time!" With her chest puffed out and her chin jutting out, she's the picture of childish bravado, and though her words are light, she means every last one of them. No nasty rogues were gonna get the better of her, or Fogbound, for that matter, a second time over, even if it meant paying more attention, and maybe learning more battle moves, too. Hollowcreek's and Peonypaw's questions send her head into a slight tilt, and it's at that moment that she realizes that she doesn't really know what it was about, either, other than they were obviously mad at Fogbound or something. "Yeah, how come they were attacking you, anyways? Like, were they after you you, or just WindClan, you think?" If it was some sort of specific grudge against Fogbound, then that's important information, since they might come back to finish the job or whatever, if that's something rogues do.

( ) she's displeased that she hadn't been there. fogbound has given so much of himself to her, she feels it's only right to give in return, and she hadn't been there! there's a half snarl on the pretty girl's face as she settles beside her former mentor, dark eyes narrowed. she runs a pink tongue over her teeth ears angling towards wolfsong, hollowcreek, peonypaw, before her gaze settles on finchpaw. ah, fog's new charge, fluttering about like the social butterfly she is. her words are brave, even if mothmoon snorts internally at the audacity of the child. "certainly you will be," finchkit... "finchpaw." she murmurs, head tipped in curiosity as she addresses the younger.

flicking her attention back at her former mentor, she flicks her tail across his flank lightly. "gotta watch out for yourself, old man, or your apprentice will be doing all the work." her tone is teasing but words are serious. an ear flicks, an eyebrow raises. "who've you angered then?"
