So let's pretend we like each other

Yewflame had completed all their tasks for the day, and decided to find a perfect spaw to laze in the sun. The fawn torbie's blue and brown gaze watching their clanmate as they went about their own things, a hum in Yewflame throat before placing their head on their paws before noticing it. A bug, a tiny little insignificant creature that dared crawl onto the young warrior's paw. Disgust began to dance on their face as they lifted their paw to get a better look at the tiny thing.

"What an awfully disgusting creature you are" their words came out like a hot knife in butter before their attempts to shake the caterpillar off their white paw. Watching the wretched thing be flung through the air before landing starclan knows where but it wasn't Yewflame's problem anymore. With a yawn that slipped easily from their jaw, Yewflame went back to lazing about the camp. Their fluffy tail swishing side to side hoping to get in some sort of Zs before someone decided it would be good to distrupt their fellow peer in their time of peace and quiet.

ˏˋ*⁀➷ Fallowpaw isn't one to butt in on others' affairs, but it seems that Yewflame is determined to let everyone know just how upset they are with... Her eyes dart over. A caterpillar, crawling along their paw. It watches in silence as he flicks the tiny thing of, before getting up from its own spot slowly.

"'S just a bug," Fallowpaw shoots at the warrior, tone laced with disdain. No need to throw a fit. She trudges after it, eyes searching the gras where it landed. "There," she breathes softly. A large, furry paw comes down atop the wiggling thing. "Got 'im." And she picks it up with a claw, raising the insect into the air delicately. She lets out a soft scoff as she looks back to Yewflame. "These things freak you out or what?" Her tone is flat, but there's something almost amused beneath it. She waves the caterpillar around a bit as if to show it off.

⁺₊⋆ ☀︎ ⋆⁺₊ A small gasp escaped her when she saw Yewflame toss away the bug into the air. He even called it disgusting. There are a ton of gross things; she personally had a very long list, but everyone knows that caterpillars grow into pretty butterflies and moths. What was this cat talking about?

The red and cream kit hurried over to Fallowpaw’s side, all puffed up. "Hey, be careful with it.” She tried to get a good look at it, as she was overly worried about the caterpillar being wiggled around, even if it was to taunt the young warrior. “Poor thing just got thrown for no good reason,” she huffed. Dwindlingkit had a soft spot for little things, perhaps because she’s still small herself. She wanted to give that brute a piece of her mind, but he was bigger than her. So Dwindlingkit opted to glare instead.

Wildheart wrinkled his nose as he overheard Fallowpaw's words, though he hardly blamed the apprentice for it considering Yewflame's earlier announcement of disgust. "All this fuss over a caterpillar. Call yourself a warrior, hm?" He scoffed with a toss of his head before he looked to Dwindlingkit as she demanded for the insect to be spared further harm. "Set it back into the grass before I start boxing ears." No doubt a lucky bird would find it and eat it anyway, though he decided not to share his prediction openly lest he risked upsetting the kit.

Softpaw had a rather indifferent approach to insects and bugs, but she wasn't afraid of them. Rather, she saw them more as an annoyance than anything else, little creatures that got in the way when one was trying to sunbathe or hunt. They'd buzz around your face and you'd be worried about them getting into your ears or nose, but other than that, what were they good for? Perhaps keeping birds fat, she thought as she watched Dwindlingkit worry over the insect.

"They do tend to show up where they're least wanted." Softpaw says thoughfully.
