It felt like an eternity ago that she was a tunneler - an all too eager one; she'd been so excitable and been both a danger to herself and to all who came down into the tunnels with her. She'd almost killed Smokestep, had almost buried the two of them where their flesh would be torn apart by the worms; she'd never poked more then her head into an entrance of abyssal caverns of the moor since. She outgrew a majority of them, she knows that ever if she'd been a model tunneler she'd still would be destined for the moors. Destined to disappoint. She'd been bitter for a majority of her life, had taken her rage and self pity out on her peers - she'd still been a kitten when that all happened had the weight of her mothers expectations on her back and the desire to more then anything to make her clan and it's leader proud of her. She'd always wanted to be worthy, to be useful, to worthy of the blood in her veins and her presence on the moors. She'd been pushed into being a Tunneler when it was never her calling, had been pushed to be so many things by powerful figures. She'd given so little resistance, forced or not she still followed their commands like gospel as if what she wanted never mattered. She's happy however with the one thing she couldn't be, she's happy being a Moorunner but those skills she learned wouldn't be entirely forgotten.
She hadn't been apprenticed long and the memories of those lessons are so hazy, but she's been thinking ever since she's seen those ditches prior to the fires about why they were there. She's never seen any of the Tunnelers dig such jagged lines in the soil like that, she wants to claim it was for no other reason then simple Two-leg insanity but the fact they showed up days before the fires started makes her wonder and that wonder leads to an idea. It's not guaranteed to do anything - and she can't fully trust anyone to think any of her ideas are worth listening to. Every time she lets her opinion be heard she's snapped it - it feels like. No matter how sound her ideas were! Still she doesn't have the energy to try digging all alone.
With a breath she lets out a loud beckoning meow "I have an idea that will help reinforce the camp!" she declares "Maybe it'll even stop the fire from even touching us!" doubtful but it should get their attention. "I'm gonna need a few Tunnelers to help me..." she waits for her clanmates to see what she's yapping about to go on. Her tail twitches impatiently.

(PRE-INJURY) PROMPT: Though you never finished your training as a tunneler, that's where you started. You have a sudden realization: the twolegs dug holes to stop the fire. Is that something you could do too? You have a powerful enough build to start trying. If you can convince your clanmates it's not a hopeless endeavor. And that you should be listened to at all.
