let's try this again, shall we?

i am remaking the mca interest check as the other one is a bit outdated and i would like to get a better idea of who is still interested! so, if you're interested in applying for riverclan's mca, there are a couple of things to keep in mind! as always, i encourage you to read over the site's official high position and semi-high position guide, as well as the new rank guide before applying!

IC REQUIREMENTS OOC REQUIREMENTS

• IC REQUIREMENTS
  — your character must be active within the clan! someone with a strong ic presence is important for any hp; a character who only posts once or twice a month is unlikely to be considered for this position. HOWEVER, this does not mean to spam the board! this can overwhelm other rpers and turn them away from riverclan.
  — your character can be any age, as long as they are not elderly or nearing retirement due to their age!
  — while it is preferred that your character at least shows an interest in medicine, it is not required!
  — that being said, it is very unlikely that an aggressive or violent cat would be considered icly by beesong. HOWEVER, i am willing to work around this if i believe you would be a good choice!
• OOC REQUIREMENTS
  — similar to ic activity, ooc activity is just as important in any hp role! you must be an active and friendly member of our ooc community, and it is required that you have a discord.
  — if you have another character already on the medicine cat path, you are automatically disqualified per site rules.
  — acting in a pushy manner towards the hp team of riverclan or trying to "one-up" other roleplayers is heavily discouraged.
  — everyone is considered equally, and this includes staff members.
  — please do keep in mind that, at the end of the day, this is a fun catsite roleplay. i understand that it can be disappointing when not chosen for an hp, and if i could promote all of your lovely characters, i would! but when the announcement for the mca is made, i encourage everyone to be supportive and kind towards them.

why do you believe that your character would be an interesting choice? Koi constantly feels like she could do better, do more for her clan, is not doing enough - I think the medicine path would fit her really well in trying to find her purpose (i also think bee & her would be a good team, with bee potentially helping with raising her self confidence)

why do you believe that your character would be an interesting choice?: crappie has chronic upper respiratory issues, so they're in the med den a lot anyway, and they'll continue to be there a lot as they get older. he is also a quick learner—although he's a stubborn apprentice to train—and diligent when given a task. i wouldn't say they're a necessarily good choice, but it would be an interesting plot to go from being the sick one to taking care of the sick. their bedside manner would be pretty awful at first, but they are a caring cat at heart, so they'd slip pretty naturally into the role of a caretaker.

Why do you believe that your character would be an interesting choice?:
● Squeak is extremely curious and kind. Even before her plot point to join the clan, she just wants to explore around the territory and learn what everything is and what everyone is doing with their time. Once apart of the clan, she'll even end up wanting to see all the cool plants and berries in the medicine den and just in general might end up asking a lot of questions.
● She might have a bit of trouble with warrior training in particular because she'll have...problems with the water and river in her early age. This might make her feel inadequate to be a real riverclan cat and doesn't know how to find another way.
● Her kindness will also extends to her fighting ability. Even as she grows, she'll try and avoid fighting at all costs. The first few times she'll see blood up close, she might feel squimish or scared. Might be a good plot point for if she actually had to *handle* it up close and personal.
● Might cause some drama because of her kittypet origin and...depending on when their picked, how new she is to the clan?

I hope you guys don't mind me putting in, I think they'll be Kittypet status for maybe...a month or less before I activate their plot to toss them in the clan! So I understand if I it'll be to late or might effect my opportunity but I still wanted to put her in cause she is so naive and kind and never wants to FIIIIGHT

why do you believe that your character would be an interesting choice?: i think it would be interesting to have a character who initially doesn't want to be in the position be forced to set off on a different path than her peers. it would challenge her and force her to look at things from a different perspective! i also feel that she would have the same vibes as yellowfang or jaywhisker, and in turn expect her clanmates to take care of themselves

growth arc later where gloom realizes her stubbornness can be a boon instead of hinder her as well as her apology vid towards bee for being the messiest apprentice ever

why do you believe that your character would be an interesting choice?: I think they'd make a good addition to the team because of their happier nature. Cicadastar and the others could use someone who is more upbeat and happy about things. Also, they have spent a lot of time in the medicine den due to their injuries and have developed an interest for medicine! Raccoon feels they have no purpose right now, and I think being a mca or just a cat who helps out would be a good fit for them ;D

why do you believe that your character would be an interesting choice?: Frostpaw has a strong care for the clan despite her showing to be a bit guarded, she wants what is best. Though at first, it would be a role she feels she would not fit, but eventually potentially grow into the role later on down the line.

why do you believe that your character would be an interesting choice?:
- ic-wise, he's starting to show an affinity for plants when the rest of his training... is not that great
- he has a fascination with finding out how things work and function in order to understand how everything meshes together anatomy-wise, which could be an exciting road of discovery for all medicine cats (even if limited to just cats' interpretations)
- emotional development!!! forcing him out of his shell to have a better bedside manner
- he currently doubts the logic behind starclan existing, so a mothwing-like approach to that with the development end being that he takes everything starclan says with a grain of salt
- he wants to be helpful to the clan and will become more confident in the role over time
- beesong receives: a weirdo kid that's taller than him and looks over his shoulder all the time, leechpaw receives: someone to trust and look up to (metaphorically)​
