ooc: please wait for @BEARCLOUD! <3 this is his intro (family drama moment!!)
The frost that clung to the air could not reflect the mood between the two brothers more than it did now, Addersnap sat in front of Bearcloud with lowered ears and an even lower posture. His usually prideful stance was now slumped over, his shoulders lax and lips placed in a pouting manner. His lazy, half-lidded eyes were now narrowed from annoyance, anger slowly rising inside of him like humidity.
It was embarrassing to be lectured in the camp clearing, even if it was off to the sidelines were others may not peek their noses into. He was getting told off about how he needed to be more cautious, to stop overworking himself and now his new apprentice to the brink of exhaustion. Who was he, really, to be telling him how to act when Bearcloud abandoned him during his apprenticeship? When they were beginning to see that leaf-bare was a moon or so earlier than expected, needing all paws at any given time?
Addersnap kicked his front paw at a rock, which rolled next to Bearcloud's paw as he droned on with such needless babbling. The other tom spoke of his egotisical attitude, the way he had been carrying himself in front of others and how he needed to lower the facade. It wasn't warrior-like, he said. Well, he wasn't an apprentice anymore, so Bearcloud couldn't tell him what to do -- or, or how to act!
Yet here he sat, cowering, his gaze dejected and nerves swirling in his stomach. "I git 't already, Bearc-c- cloud!" Addersnap finally stood up, lashing his feather-adorned tail as he faced his brother. "Y- ya don't gotta 'ell it ta everyon'!" Why was Bearcloud now trying to be his older brother, trying to be there for him when he was needed? He didn't need anyone to look out for him. He graduated all on his own, without Bearcloud, without Elkthistle. Without his parents. "Why can't ya jus' leave me alone?" The young warrior snapped, yellow eyes flared like an engulfing fire. Why couldn't his family just let him be?
