pafp SCATTER YOUR SCALES | talking about barn life

"Oh, so you wanna learn all about being a barncat?" Celandinepaw's chipper tone pierced through the quietude of a pursed morning, like a daily matin raining down on the Windclan camp. Celandine always woke up at the crack of dawn, as it was customary for the barncats to rise and shine much before the workfolk had even put on their work-pelts, as though her wiring still tuned itself on the sweet notes of her home. It just so happened that another soul had been up when she was, when the sun still stained the sky as it emerged, leaving behind a varnished trail of tangerine and similar citrus color. This was her favorite time of the day, and the young molly wouldn't miss it for the world. An aubade of a trill sparked in unadulterated happiness at the fact that, this time, someone was asking her about her former life! Much of Windclan kept their lives private at their own paws, though they were hardly mean - simply quiet, as the morning tended to be. It was a cultural shock that she was still acclimating to, though she supposed she was doing quite well for a feline who had never ventured past the wooden fences before this. "Well, it's a hard job. Only the toughest of the tough survive!" Peart grin was apparent on her golden-fleeced face, looking down at the poor kitten that had dared approach her first. "So, what kinda question d'ya wanna ask me first? How about the time I let a dog chase me until it got tired?" A complete exaggeration, but an entertaining piece of fiction nonetheless.
