Every growing interest in the other clans was surely going to get young Bananapaw in trouble, but she couldn't help herself! The other clans where a mystery. Thunderclan was off in the oak forest, confined to thick brush and massive trees, Shadowclan lived in a shrouded base of pine needles and swampland, and Riverclan laid beyond reeds. A river kept the two apart that swiftly moved along as if the winter hadn't cause much of distress. Then there was Windclan- a place she'd never get to see cause they lived all the way on the other side of the territories. Though she could picture the moorlands pretty easily, blank and empty with the sky streching out as far as they eye could see. At least without Windclan ruining the moors, it would be a pretty place in her mind. Regardless! The clans seemed so tense lately since the death of Emberstar and Bananapaw found herself outside of camp more often. It was easier to think, to relax when away from the madness of camp.
White paws padded along the worn pathway of dirt and ferns towards the border, glancing behind her as she had been on patrol with a few others and she didn't want them to worry. The young cat twitched her whiskers slightly as the rushing of the river came into view and the trees opened up into sand. The sky above was a warm blue color with the sun lazily hanging in the sky. New leaf was here and it was welcoming to not have to freeze her paws off. Though there was still patches of snow littering the ground as it hadn't quite melted yet, it wasn't warm enough for that. Slush and wet now, Bananapaw shook a paw as she stepped onto a pacth of whiteness and then looked towards the reeds beyond the river.
Was Riverclan their friend still? She wasn't sure what was going on anymore, there seemed to be a lot of things she was missing out with being home at night. She shook her head slightly to dislodge the thought and turned away from the river, maybe she should head back to the patrol now. Bananapaw didn't want to get into more trouble or any at all, but her curious nature had her stopping and staring. What was life like across the river? In the oak forest? Under the pines?
