Low light was where Thundergleam best manoeuvred. She weaved beneath night air like running water, as if every destination was one she was meant to find. And in truth, given her pale complexion she was glad not to be visiting the most exposed Clan in daylight ... her ability to mark the border efficiently might have been impaired. Thankfully, she was spared today- she smiled back at her companions, Snailberry and Laughblossom. "I pray we do not run into any problems," she murmured to them, though the far away look in her eyes seemed to speak of a molly with no real concerns.

A shuffle of paws caught her attention, and the porcelain she-cat's face lit up with interest. "Our patrols always appear fated to cross paths," she sighted softly, brushing her flank up against a tree and preparing proper posture for an inevitable encounter.

Sedgepounce passes through the undergrowth, a yawn threatening to split his jaws. Indiscernible murmurs alerted him to ThunderClan's presence before their woodsy scents did, and as he emerges at WindClan's edge of the border, those voices give way to three unfamiliar faces. Nobody seems particularly panicked. A normal border patrol, then.

"Howdy," Sedgepounce tries. It's something he's heard Buckfire say once or twice. "I hope ThunderClan's doing well." He knows that they're not, really, but their clanmates have suffered enough interrogation about Howlingstar and Skyclaw already. At this point it's just the polite thing to say—so, he says it, spares a sincere smile, and scratches his cheek against a nearby swatch of heather.

𓆝 . ° ✦ Grasspaw had really taken to his tunneler profession, given the circumstances. He much preferred the steady temperatures and plentiful rocks found beneath their paws. Plus, he didn't have to worry so much about keeping up with the cats around him, as he was needing to do currently. He puffed quietly as they marked along their borders. I hope Mossthorn lets me relax after this, it is getting late, he thought.

Thundergleam was an odd cat, he'd overheard. She seemed plenty nice to him, despite the rumors. His tail twitched at the end along with the thought that came next. Gossip is rat poison. While dramatic, not untrue. "Hello," he mewed quietly. He didn't want to be rude.

Bunnypaw dutifully follows Sedgepounce, though admittedly as they near the border, she trembles.

It doesn't make sense - WindClan cats are meant to be as formidable as any foe they face. The gesture of her mentors and the others are only kind, too, and yet she feels her chest quicken at the mere sight of the ThunderClan cats. What makes it worse is that as she shifts her weight to cower by her mentor's side, she notices too late how quickly she's growing. She by no means rivals him, but in weeks she just might.

Politeness is overpowered by the want to run, and so the new apprentice does not move to greet the strangers across from her.

𓇢𓇢 Thundergleam and Snailberry are both friendly clanmates, so Laughblossom isn't worried in the least about making the trip to the WindClan border with them. Thundergleam is a capable warrior, and in the darkness of dusk she seems to be right in her element. Her pale form slinks along with all the grace of a panther, wild and fierce; were she a tom, he may even find her attractive. But alas, she doesn’t fit his bill—and something tells him that he isn’t quite her type, either. "Destiny herself wishes for us to converse with the wind-runners, it seems," he murmurs to the patrol as Thundergleam points out the other patrol’s approach.

Howdy, one of the opposing cats says, and isn’t that neat? The tom who says it is… also neat, Laughblossom thinks, though he wishes it were a bit brighter so he could see just how glossy that dappled pelt is in the daylight. What a stupid thought… disregard that. He bounces on his paws, strutting right up to the edge of the border and beginning o rub his face against a few tufts of grass. "Why, how-dee to you as well, my friend! What a lovely time for us to meet, isn’t it?" His tone is jovial, expression bearing the matching smile, although it fades to a dull glow as he turns his attention to the apprentice at his side. "M’lady, have you yet learned to properly mark the borders? It’s a simple thing, truly. You need only place your scent on the nearest thing, and lay it thickly. Not that we fear any trespass from these lovely WindClanners, of course." He throws the other clan’s patrol an exaggerated wink and a grin, before demonstrating his scent making anyway.
