The early frost was nothing to scoff at– though Minkbite found himself doing so anyways. Moreso out of frustration than anything else. His short, sleek fur hadn't had time to thicken properly, leaving him fighting off random chills more often than not. Thankfully the clan was still comfortable, no shortage of herbs or nesting materials, and even the prey was still running well enough.

But that could always change.

The slender, chocolate tomcat plucked a thrush from the pile, before pausing midstep and realizing he didn't actually need to grab larger prey anymore– his mother was no longer around to share with.

He hesitated for a moment, not quite sure what to do. Logic would tell him to put it back and get something smaller, but his mothers voice was sharp in his ears telling him that good warriors don't make mistakes.

So he straightened up and looked around, spotting a clanmate who looked as if they'd just come into camp to relax a moment. Cricketcry. He made his way over with what he hoped wasan air of confidence and non-challance, as if it'd been his intended purpose the entire time to come and share with a clanmate.

"Hello." he greeted after placing the bird down, his smile polite but reserved. "Care to share with me? I'm sure the nursery would be happy for the extra feathers."
