private SHOUT IT OUT LIKE A BIRD SET FREE // flurryjump

The small tabby perches on a sturdy branch just outside of ThunderClan's camp, golden eyes gleaming with mischief as she glances toward Flurryjump. The crisp morning air carries the scent of frosted oak but not a trace of prey, and the sunlight filters through the barren branches, dappling their pelts with shifting shadows. Sinking her claws into the bark, she flicks her tail with excitement. They should be hunting, but Stormywing is in dire need of a distraction from…other things, and Flurryjump is pretty fun to have around, so why not make the best of it? Especially since there's no trace of anything hunt-able nearby.

"Bet you've never seen moves like this before," She suddenly boasts, crouching low. Then, with a powerful push of her hind legs, she launches herself into the air with limbs outstretched. For a moment, she's weightless, suspended in the sky like a bird taking flight, soaring and soaring. Then she twists midair, coiling her body into a tight spin before she kicks out her legs and lands effortlessly on a branch below. Not even a wobble! Her grin is electric as she tilts her head back up at her clanmate. "Think you can top that?" She challenges, whiskers twitching with glee. "Or am I still ThunderClan's greatest aerial artist ever?" She says this with a flair of dramatics, pressing a paw theatrically to her puffed out chest.

Flurryjump gave a purr of amusement as she watched Stormywing effortlessly leap from branch to branch. The -wing suffix suited her, and she couldn't help but wonder how often her clanmate had spent in the trees for it to have been in the leader's head when she was named.

Flurry jumped to grab a nearby branch, the rough bark pressing against her paws as she scrambled up the tree. "Well, her suffix might be -wing," she mused, "but mine is -jump!"

"You're amazing at this, Stormywing!
" Flurry called up, her voice filled with admiration. She could barely keep up with the silver and white tabby, but that was okay. She wasn't here to compete, she was here to have fun!
Flurry's heart pounded as she pulled herself further up the tree. With a burst of energy, she flung herself upward, her paws just barely catching the branch above. She paused for a second to catch her breath, eyes glinting with determination before she crouched and leaped again, landing on a branch higher than the last one.

She was far from being as elegant as Stormywing, whose movements seemed almost too fluid to be real. Flurry was a bit more clumsy, but none of that mattered too much at the moment. Even if she wasn't as graceful as Stormywing, the joy of leaping and jumping through the trees together with a friend was worth it.

Stormywing watches with bright, approving eyes as Flurryjump scrambles after her. Her tail flicks with excitement at her clanmate's determination, a wide grin stretching across her face. The other she-cat might not have her same effortless grace, but her enthusiasm? Yeah, the tabby can respect that! "Heyyy, not bad!" She calls down, voice ringing with laughter. "I'll admit, I did have my doubts when you started climbing like a squirrel kit seeing a tree for the first time…but you're actually keeping up!"

With a teasing wink, Stormywing shifts her weight, balancing easily on the narrow branch as the wind tugs at her fur. Her golden gaze gleams with exhilarated challenge. "But you do realize it's not just about getting up, right?" Without warning, she launches herself again, this time with a daring twist mid-leap. She spirals once, twice in the air before arching her back and landing perfectly on a slender branch even lower than before. The wood dips beneath her weight, but it doesn't seem to faze her confidence. Flashing a smug grin upward, she flicks her thick tail and narrows her eyes in playful challenge. "It's about style, too. Gotta have some flare! C'mon, Flurryjump, show me what you've got!"
