Every day the promise of new faces in the long line of his family grows ever closer. Will there be only one, as there had been with him? With how rounded Wolfsong had become, perhaps he would have a great many new mouths to feed. The times were changing. Cooling temperatures threatened them, and sickness loomed heavily within the clouds. Like a terrible sadness, it promises to rain down upon them all. He is lucky that he has not seen it yet. In quiet reprieve from the typical clan life, Sunstride has separated himself from all that he can. In doing so, this lonely life has begun to take its own toll. Off to the side of camp, he paws at a piece of prey. One bite taken. The rest left untouched. Was it worry that had his appetite failing so terribly? Or was it something far worse than even that?
In a burst of energy unlike him, something terribly fearful in cool blue eyes, Sunstride's paw lashes out– with ears pinned and shoulders tensed, he sends his prey flying some distance away from him. Shaking off a drowsiness that will not leave him even in his panic. "Wolfsong!" he calls, though his tongue seeks out a more distant name.

SUNSTRIDE. named for his coloration and his bold chasing of fate.
—— cis male, he - him. approx. 40 moons old. lead warrior of windclan + former rogue.
—— gay, monogamous. mate to wolfsong from 07.05.2023. npc x npc, no larger family.
—— has recently regained some of his earlier lightness, but maintains his steady facade.
sunstride is broad and bold– a creature standing above most of windclan, though not a beast beyond its borders, with fur that flames red and deepens to a burnt amber with every whorl and stripe. his eyes, in comparison, are a pale summer's blue, still as bold as the rest of him. - "speech"
