"HEAR MY STOLEN LULLABIES"
From the moment the sickness was announced, Batpaw had been concerned. His life didn't change much, however. He already barely spent time with other cats, now he just had an excuse.
Overall, he was fine. Swanpaw falling ill worried him slightly, a feeling he didn't care to examine, but other than that, oh well. He'd survive.
He didn't care.
Not until he returned to camp one day after training, only to find that Snowfeather had been moved to the medicine den. She had developed a cough and a fever.
And he... couldn't be with her. Because if he went to her side, he would be at risk too. She might die and he couldn't be with her.
Of course ShadowClan was the only clan without access to Lungwort.
The possibility of Snowfeather getting sick had never crossed his mind. Throughout his entire life, she had been the one constant. The one cat he could spend hours upon hours with and not be stressed. She was his rock.
She couldn't die. Not like this.
"Tell her... Please tell her that she has to get better."
Everything would be fine. The medicine cats would figure out another cure and Snowfeather would make it.
