With a gaggle of apprentices following her lead, Howlfire calmly leads them just outside of camp. The decision to host this little climbing completion was one born out of a need for a distraction, both for herself, and for her younger clanmates in the wake of a few tragedies.
Howlfire does not take her charges far - in fact, camp is still visible behind them - but they are far enough for them to still feel a sense of independence. "Now, which one of you would consider yourself the best climber?" Howlfire asks, maintaining a serious expression as she peers down at the apprentices. After a few of them mumble responses, Howlfire's mouth splits into a wide grin. "I don't want you to just tell me, I want you to show me!" Howlfire then proceeded to gesture at the nearest tree. "Whoever can prove to me they are as skilled as they claim will win this!" There is a brief pause as Howlfire ducked her head into a bush, before pulling out a fat wood pigeon from within, caught during an earlier hunting patrol she had been on. "This competition isn't just about how high you can go!" Howlfire warned her apprentices. "I want to see how you climb, how you manoeuvre across the branches, how you maintain your balance. Now, go! Prove to me which of you is the best climber!"
// a little silly for fun thread! apprentices only are invited to participate, warriors may watch though!
