CAUTION TAPE AROUND MY HEART
marmotpaw | 04 months | female | she/her | physically easy | mentally medium | attack in bold #9ab973
It is about time somebody recognized her superior survival skills. It had been a bit surprising when cottonpaw had approached her, but marmotpaw was nothing if not helpful to her less experienced clanmate and fellow apprentice. That the blue-furred child was one of sootstars many is only a bonus in her eyes. With a contemplative hum, the tiny child narrows her mismatched gaze, a frown tugging at her scarred face as she stares at the camp with an expression of such seriousness one would think it a matter of life or death. When jaws finally part, however, it is to impart the very important knowledge upon her new subordinate. "So, there's two spots that're superior, but it depends on what you wanna prioritize," she says, careful to use her vocabulary to the fullest extent. "The center is warmer and more protected, 'cause everyone's all together, but that edge over there is the quietest and most sheltered, cause it's by the elders dens." she states ever so matter-of-factly, turning to look at the girl beside her. "You just gotta pick one."

Cottonpaw still feels a mix of disappointment and determination when it comes to her promotion - much of her wonders if it'll ever end. It's almost a laughing matter to consider Icebreath equal to her own mother, but she attempts those reassurances regardless, in hopes to quell her troubled, but childish mind. Other means of silencing all that rattles between her ears is providing herself with the in-camp experiences of an apprentice - starting, of course, with a new place to sleep!

She remembers Marmotpaw from their short-lived shared time in the nursery, however unlike with Sunflowerpaw, the grey kitten hadn't tried to maintain a friendship with the multicolored molly helping her out. Maybe that'll change now that they're sharing occupations! Plus, the other seems more than willing to offer keen advice.

"Hmmm..." Cottonpaw opts to hum as she debates her options. Her tail twitches as she stalls next to Marmotpaw, gauging the importance of each spot for herself first. She's gotten so used to sleeping huddled with other kittens in the nursery that the center is most tempting to her. That said, she has not a clue where her siblings will sort themselves, much less where her friends rest for now. So she turns to Marmotpaw again, deciding to use the other's absolute wisdom to its fullest, "Where do you prefer?"
