Daffodilpaw flicks her tufted tail. It's a slow going day thus far, even with newleaf in full swing and plenty of things to be done. Her mentor has yet to approach her about the day's activities, leaving the point apprentice with nearly nothing to do (at least, if she doesn't take initiative herself.) She prefers instruction, structure, as opposed to assuming that tasks and chores must be done and accidentally tripping up others in the process. And so, she soaks up what little sunlit warmth there is in camp, waiting for some sort of direction.

That is, until a scent drifts past her. An ear flicks next when she recognizes her brother nearby, head craning to better gather which direction he's gone. She supposes that - well, if he's busy, she can at least help him out a bit. She stands on milk dipped paws and follows the quiet steps Chamomilepaw leaves behind. It does not take long for her to match his gait and tag along on whatever journey he's taking. "Where are you off too?" she inquires, head tilted. She wouldn't mind parsing ticks from elder's fur, or replacing moss in the nursery, or - StarClan, she wouldn't even mind repairing the camp walls, if need be. Just something to keep busy.

Chamomilepaw lacks the luxury of a sunlit resting period for the day. There is a part of him grateful to have a mentor who prioritizes duties and the overall well-being of the clan. There is also a part of him that wishes he could go back to his kittenhood days when he had no duties, no worries, and could play and daydream the days away. On this beautiful newleaf day he has been tasked with cleaning out the bedding from the elder's den and replacing it. An honorable task indeed, though a hefty one at that.

His attention rests solely on ambling paws, oblivious to dainty paws steadily catching up to his gait, as the apprentice makes his way towards the elder's den. Cham figures he can get a good look at what his task at hand will be before grabbing the moss he needs. "Where are you off too?" A familiar voice chimes in his ear and Cham startles ever so slightly. Soft sage green eyes momentarily abandon the monotonous march of his paws to gaze upon his littermate, a semi-smile pulling at the corners of his maw. "The elder's den. I was going to clean out their bedding and replace it. Why? Are you looking for something to do?" Cham asks politely, glancing around for Daffodilpaw's mentor but not seeing them nearby. Perhaps she does not have a task for the day like himself? He would not mind the help if she wanted to tag along.
