if you need any recommendations or tips then lmk!!! be sure to check out the guides and site history threads bc it makes jumping in a lot easier hehe
i'm biased toward any of the clans i'm in (skyclan, windclan, or shadowclan) but if you want active then skyclan will be your best bet for sure! they also allow loners, rogues, and kittypets to join them as well as daylight warriors whereas other clans generally do not so this makes for more variation and flexibility with backstories/concepts hehe

either way i am staring so hard at what u come up with...

yeah i was thinking about skyclan because it seems more laidback and easier to get into especially for the character i have in mind
and i'm a coward and intimidating characters intimidate me and everyone in windclan, riverclan and shadowclan scare me but that seems more like a testament to how amazingly everyone writes their characters lol

for sure won't be too serious of a character cause i want to ease myself into this and ofc i will have to adjust some things according to the rules but these are just loose ideas

- name is gonna be: Tyrannosuarus Rex Kaboom (T-Rex Kaboom) or just Rex for short (maybe will get a clan name later but debating on keeping it as Rex(suffix) or Kaboom(suffix))
-- doesn't know what a t-rex is of course and doesn't actually know how to say his whole name and any attempt will probably sound like 'tire-an-saurus'
- former kittypet, definitely belonged to a frat dude and he used to watch tv a lot with his owner (he will miss the discovery channel greatly)
- big fluffy dark orange tabby with some white & big ol' blue puppy dog eyes
- i like the idea of him wearing an american flag bandana around his head like a headband but logically it wouldn't stay on so idk if that'd be allowed so if not maybe just around his neck like regular then?
- since skyclan is so close to the twoleg place he'd probably collect little shiny things like soda tabs, bottle caps, etc...
- will for sure end most sentences with 'man' and will call his clanmates things like bro, broseph, brotato, etc... just because his owner would've said them so often (no he doesn't really know what any of these words mean but neither does anyone else so he'll use them anyways)

these aren't all the ideas just some of the ones i'm more fond of

started looking at tags templates and got overwhelmed so screw that that's a later thing i'm going to finish writing out other stuff because even if i wuss out and never write him at least everyone will know i loved him <3

- as previously stated, he's a big man. rex weighs in at around 15 lbs and while some can be accounted for his kittypet chub, it's primarily the weight of muscle. made with big waffle stomper paws made for flattening bugs and hind legs for kicking enemy clan cats in the face with. his fur all dark orange, borderline red, is clumpy and admittedly mangy since he rarely cleans it. more often than not he'll be found covering himself in mud claiming it's for "maximum stealthiness" because he is a less than stellar hunter so rarely will anyone see his true fur color anyways. he has white markings hiding under all the clay and slop somewhere but that's hardly important. however, he does wear a red, white and blue bandana around his neck, always making sure to shimmy it off before he takes his mud baths. with big blue puppy dog eyes he almost looks sweet till you remember he's the cat equivalent of a 42 year old man with his facial fur growing out to look like a mock mustache and beard combo to top off the middle aged man look.

\ bit of a clumsy fool, sensitive - feelings get hurt easily, not smart very dumbbbbb
- very irresponsible, kind of cowardly, handles serious things poorly
-- big goal is he just wants to make everyone proud <3 but he's stupid and terrible
-- very much a follower rather than a leader never put him in charge of anything it will explode in his face
-- family man, loves to love, likes taking care of kits and such he is den-dad material but also don't leave him alone around kids he'll take them to the twoleg place and show them how to steal from house cats and use knives and fight opossums and such
-- does like to show off his shiny stuff collection to his clanmates he's very proud of his pile of thumb tacks and paper clips and single pair of kitchen shears
-- doesn't like fighting though because getting hurt hurts :'< and he doesn't want to really hurt anyone but will if he must because clanmates >>> stinky butt enemies
-- i like to think that despite being a house cat rex never got neutered because his owner was all like "nah let the little man keep his jewels"
-- if you think for even one second he understands things like subtlety and "reading between the lines" then don't because if you want him to understand what you're saying you need to be as up front and clear as possible he is all about saying what you mean and meaning what you say

there's probably more concise words for a lot that i've written and i'll def notice a bunch of errors in the morning but rn my tummy hurts B)

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewers head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon's genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. ✧ Former house cat Rex is a big man that weighs a total of 15ish lbs from combined muscle and house cat chub. With big paws and strong legs he's made for stomping enemy clan cat's faces in. His fur is thick and clumpy and often goes unwashed as seen by the chunks of dried mud and dirt caked into it. Not that it's ever visible but his coat is dark orange, bordering on bright red, with some thin stripes spattered about. He has some white markings on his legs and face but they're pretty irrelevant when the mud hides them. A face as fluffy as any, the fur on his muzzle and chin grow into a mock sort of mustache-beard combo.   SHORT CHOCOLATE AND WHITE PUFFBALL WITH COPPER EYES / TOYHOUSE / REF
  Clawkit doesn't look much like either of their parents in any regard. Born a muddy brown and white puffball they're likely the smallest of their litter and that way it'll remain. As an adult they aren't nearly as tall as their mother and not even as average in height like their father, falling short and standing around the same height as a younger apprentice for their life. However their ears are tall and wide with big cotton-ball tufts, sitting like big satellite disks atop their head making them an easy target during battle. And their tail is about as big and poofy as a squirrel's, having a habit of letting it drag and not paying attention to how much space something that fluffy takes up. Chocolate fur is thick and chunky hiding a body that is kitten chub up until warriorhood where it becomes blocky and muscular. Their face, in spite of their obnoxious personality, has misleadingly kind red-orange eyes accentuated by white strikes beneath them. Their muzzle, usually baring an annoying grin, is bright white, with a dark nose topping it off and wild curly whiskers sprouting from it. And aside from the soles of their rear paws everything else is muddy brown fur hiding how rarely they partake in basic hygiene.

  — cocky and arrogant, feels as though they have a lot to live up to and while they know their mother loves them, they feel as though they need to earn her affection
  — loyalty is a basic necessity to live within a clan and clawkit has it in droves, they love their clan and would naturally do anything to keep their clan safe and sound- even if it means breaking a few rules
  — being a kit immaturity comes with ease, not something they have to think much about. But even as they grow they tend to lean on the more childish side with petty name calling, stupid arguments, etc...
  
  • going paw in paw with being childish, clawkit is a terrible listener. if they are listening then they'll pretend not to be, even going as far as to interrupt or get up and walk away in the middle of a conversation
  — they're a slow-learner, not picking things up as quickly as their peers, falling behind in their less than stellar hunting and fighting skills. feels as though maybe they don't really have to train and that it should come naturally to them?
  — they're selfish primarily and most acts of goodwill are done from a place of self-gain. believing that if they do good things for their clanmates then maybe good things will happen to them in turn?
  — cocky, self-absorbed and to top it off they're shameless. clawkit doesn't see a problem with the way they behave and feels as though they shouldn't apologize for it or anything at all
  
  • if an apology is necessary though, it will come with a gift, something to soften the blow and cover up that they're not really sorry at all but just giving in to the wishes of those around them
  — open mouth and insert paw because clawkit is a loud-mouth that will say the first thing that springs to mind even if it could be construed as rude and insensitive. and in cases that it is seen as such they won't understand why
  
  
  when inconvenienced or annoyed ears twitch in rapid succession like a rattling snake tail. stressed or thinking they have a tendency to rub at their lower face with a chin, combing through the fur like a beard
