do you wanna know how it feels

@Moonbeam
Lilacbird was as faithful as she was loyal - though perhaps more faithful than loyal. She hoped starclan did not look down upon her and her children when she had made her mistake- she had turned her head and shoulders from the tom she loved in realization- and has broken all contact from him. She had found care in someone else, including bundles of furs that roamed as apprentices now.

But to the lilac queen, they would always be her babies, and always be tiny, despite their size. The months flew by, they grew up healthy and strong. And she couldn't be anymore grateful. As she loafed upon the green moss, small ears tilted and turned, trying to catch voices outside of the den, but unfortunately with no luck.

As the days went on, Lilacbird found it harder and harder to not feel so lonely in the confines of the medicine den. The salves Moonbeam tried to put on her smelled foul to her, and left her uncomfortable and sticky from the webs while she healed.

A curiousity struck the queen though, blue eyes drifting the white feline who - well, she wasn't sure what she was doing. It appeared to be something important - but maybe it was not. "M-moonbeam, c-care to sp-sp-spare a second of your att-att-ention?" She asks softly, poofy tail curling tight to her uninjured leg, gaze trailing the others motions.

There was not much to do within the beech copse when it came to the herbs that the medicine cat had access to. She had so few of so many herbs, so many choices to make on which cats deserved to be free from pain or who was most at risk for infection. She knew that their home within the copse was not permanent but she didn't know how many of her herbs would survive, didn't know how many got washed away - if any - and it made her crazy thinking about it, so she had been counting what little they had and what little she had been able to collect with the territory being flooded like it was.

She had been counting, double checking, when Lilacbird's voice reached her ears and quietly the white moggie's head lifted to look over to the other, orange eyes searching the injured queen's own blue. Her speech pattern was so formal, a breath of fresh air compared to the way so many others spoke, and though she was quiet with her words the way she spoke is what drew the attention of others, the words she chose, and without hesitation the medicine cat nod her head before moving forward. "How can I help you?" Eyes glanced to the injuries the other had occurred when the flood happened, searching for any sign of wounds reopening or becoming infected before they turned back to the other's face as quick as they had left.
