————— There are few emotions that Laurelpaw doesn’t hide behind sharp eyes. He is rather shut in, preferring well-built walls than windows into his soul. The young tom isn’t afraid of nodding along to any statement if it keeps general peace, although there are a few things he can’t stand for. The few emotions he doesn’t hide are anger and other related reactions, although it is embarrassing he has been known to blow up on other cats for, what he considers, wrong doings.
There are few times when the boy doesn’t understand what is happening socially, he has been raised with a father who speaks deliberately so he has learned to listen to what’s being said and what isn’t being said just as much. He carries that same trait (unless provoked) his thoughts are his most treasured possession. When most things are locked away it is easy to mold yourself to the environment, and that’s just what Laurelpaw does. He is a mirror of his surroundings and is at home like that.
He could be considered manipulative and selfish by some but he would call it self-preservation. For being so young he has been through enough, now that he has some control over his life, even if it is only socially, he is going to take advantage of it.

WRITTEN DESCRIPTION☆
————— Laurelpaw is a blue tabby, with a single white paw mirroring almost perfectly the one his mother had. He wouldn’t know it, but he did carry his mother’s elegance and beauty. A pretty face and well-kept coat make him a handsome tom by most standards besides his somewhat plain coat. He is a blue tabby and in almost every way looks like a carbon copy of his father, down to sharing the same burning orange eyes. A rather haunting concept for him. As he finishes growing into his adult frame he will be somewhat thickly set. With broad shoulders and strong hind legs, he looks slightly out of place among ShadowClan’s typically scrawny appearance. Although he does stay rather short, never fully reaching over top his father’s height.

————— FATHER The mirror copy of one another, Laurelpaw both holds his father in extremely high esteem and holds resentment towards him. He couldn’t tell you which he feels more on any given day. Laurelpaw took it upon himself to build up walls that make it hard to connect to his father. HALFSHADE
————— DECEASED MOTHER His mother wasn’t even able to name him before she passed during childbirth. He knows very little about her besides snippets he is told from other cats praising her.
HALFPAW
—————LITTERMATE Halfpaw is Laurelpaw’s closest confidant. The two of them were kitnapped together and for most of their kithood where the only constant. In some ways this made the two a little codependent, Laurelpaw especially has trouble opening up to anyone but Halfpaw. And the mutual yearning the two share for WindClan makes it easy to isolate himself with his sister.
THORNPAW
————— LITTERMATE Thornpaw as left behind when he and Halfpaw had been kitnapped so many bonding experiences most kittens would share together were missed. In this way Laurelpaw can’t help but feel a little out of place next to her, not that he tries to, opening up just doesn’t happen naturally with Thornpaw, or really any cat.
APPLEJAW
————— OLDER SIBLING Laurelpaw knows very little about Applejaw, she is quiet and stern and for the small amount of time they shared the apprentice den she wanted nothing to do with him, or any of her younger siblings for that matter. He admires her strength and stoicism however and if given the chance would follow her around so he could learn something from her. He is under the impression she knows a lot.
SWANSONG
————— OLDER SIBLING Swansong has always been kind to Laurelpaw, he can’t recall a time where she didn’t treat him with love. For his older siblings it seems 50/50 whether they actually liked him and he was glad that he could have Swansong’s affection. She might be the one cat he doesn’t shy away from sharing tongues with.
ASHENFALL
————— OLDER SIBLING Ashenfall is mean. He is mean to all of his younger siblings it seems like. Blaming them for his mother’s death the tom never seemed to quite get over it and often took frustrations out on the kittens. Ashenfall is mostly the reason Applejaw seems like such an attentive sister.
GARLICHEART
————— OLDER SIBLING Laurelpaw hasn’t had the chance to get close to Garlicheart, although he appreciates her kindness and had never been given a reason to not get close to her. But, just like his other siblings, his walls are built tall and sturdy.

————— FRIEND Snowpaw is a cat he could confidently say he liked. His general openness and grace had been appreciated by Laurelpaw more than once. He wouldn’t be too sure if he was as good of a friend to Snowpaw, as he was to him, but he tries his best.

————— RIVAL It was a little upsetting to admit but Bonepaw truly was able to get under Laurelpaw’s skin like no other. The younger apprentice made Laurel’s blood boil on more than one occasion and although it could be said that Laurelpaw had started the feud it wouldn’t be denied that Bonepaw kept it burning.
