I just want to rot here, not practice, not eat, nothing!" Dwindlingpaw spat out angry words, overflowing with too many feelings. Her chest ached already feeling bad for yelling at Fadingpaw who'd don't nothing to deserve her wrath.
Unwilling to look at her sister anymore, Dwindlingpaw flips over, preferring to face the den wall. "I don't even want to be an apprentice anymore..." The truth slips out of her mouth without her permission, and she covers her face with her paws. What's the point of doing anything? Howlingstar was dead. She promised her that she'd uphold the warrior code and become an apprentice, not Skyclaw. That stupid, no-good rat with his gross bug friends.
She could feel the tears burning threaten to fall, causing her normally neatly groomed fur to puff up into anger spikes. "I want to run away somewhere else where things make sense. This isn't Thunderclan. Why bother anymore, Fading? We are working so hard for nothing."
