Stagstrike. Tybalt. The warrior with two names. Hollow Tree understood that he didn’t want to give up his birth name. But Emberstar had made the change for all cats in the clan. Though, Hollow was lucky to have a name similar to the warrior-style. So there had been no need for her to change. She probably would have been rather conflicted if she was asked- no, forced to change her name. Her father gave her this name and it was the one thing she still had of him.
Still, perhaps Stagstrike could find a name that honored his past. But it really wasn’t up to her if he accepted a clan name or not. As his short-term mentor she wanted to keep tabs on him. Even if he found it annoying. Hollow Tree padded across the thick snow and towards her previous apprentice. Even if she hadn’t done much training with him, she hoped he had learned something from her.
“Stagstrike.” she greets, looking over the younger warrior. “How is it being a mentor?”
