APPEARANCE.
➸ longhaired oriental, black smoke tabby➸ selby is a lanky cat with a smooth coat that feathers around his cheeks, ears, chest, legs, and tail. most of his fur is a dark tabby color that seems to become lighter as he moves, and his chin, chest, and stomach are a lighter color than the top of his body. he has curious yellow eyes and a dark purple nose. when he speaks, a chipped bottom canine can be spotted.

➸ above all else, selby is incredibly patient and empathetic. he is tolerant of perceived slights and is quick to overlook the flaws of others, occasionally to his detriment. though not of any notable intelligence, he is eager to learn as opportunities present themselves. because of his patient nature, some are quick to label him a fool. however, he has a deep-rooted sense of what is right, and though he is tolerant of the flaws of others, he may be quick to judge them.➸ infp

➸ born to a kittypet household, selby is a purebred longhair oriental. though as a young child it was probable that he would have been raised in a luxurious incident, a housefire led him to becoming lost and detached from his original life. he was adopted by a lone tom, and although his physical needs were met, he was neglected emotionally. the two parted ways quickly after he learned to sustain himself through hunting. selby found his way to a skater park and lived there for a year with many other cats, but animal control came through the place and selby narrowly avoided escape. he braved the woods for a while but eventually found his way to a neighborhood. he fell deeply in love with a kittypet, but their romance was cut short when her owners stopped allowing her outside. heartbroken, selby moved back to the woods in search of a less lonely life.
